Tongling No.1 Middle School was founded in 1938. The school is located in Yongchuan County, Sichuan Province (now Yongchuan City, Chongqing), formerly known as the 16th National Middle School. More than 60 years have passed, I have changed my name and moved several times. Now it has become a provincial key middle school, a provincial demonstration high school and a scientific experimental base for basic education of China University of Science and Technology.

Tongling No.1 Middle School has explored a new road with a vast world and fragrant peaches and plums. It has trained outstanding students who have won three international Olympic gold medals and won three college entrance examinations. Over the past three years, more than 200 outstanding students have been sent to top universities such as Peking University, Tsinghua, University of Science and Technology, Fudan University and Nantah. The subject competition won more than 20 national prizes and more than 0/00 provincial prizes, and the college entrance examination rate was over 97%.
