According to the new policy of senior high school entrance examination, Shaanxi Province will start a pilot project from 20 17, and comprehensively implement the reform of senior high school enrollment system around 2020, completely change the "only academic test scores" admission model based on the results of senior high school entrance examination, and fully implement the enrollment model combining junior high school academic level examination with comprehensive quality evaluation.

Starting from the seventh grade who entered school in the autumn of 20 17, Shaanxi Province will fully implement the junior high school level examination to replace the previous junior high school graduation examination. The change of the new junior middle school academic level examination lies in the obvious increase of examination subjects and scores, and its results are the basic basis for students to graduate and enter higher schools.
