Dear parents and friends,
Good morning! Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy schedule to attend our parent-teacher conference. Here, first of all, I would like to congratulate your children on starting a new life learning journey, and also sincerely thank all parents for their concern and support for the work of our school. We are well aware that the bright and lovely smiling faces all bear the ardent hopes and beautiful longings of parents. As a math teacher, I have been exploring how to do my best to make the boring math class lively, so that children can learn math happily, feel the colorful mathematics, stimulate the desire to explore, enjoy the joy of success, and lay a good foundation for your children's lifelong learning. Today, I would like to take this opportunity to discuss with you the math learning problems of future children. Below, I will talk about my own ideas from three aspects: paying attention to cultivating children's interest in learning mathematics, helping children develop good study habits and guiding children to master problem-solving methods, and introduce some characteristics of the seventh set of mathematics textbooks published by Beijing Normal University for your reference only:
First, how to cultivate children's interest in learning mathematics
The modern concept of learning points out that children's learning, knowledge and skills are not the first, but their self-confidence, interest and sense of responsibility will affect their continued learning, even their whole life.
1. To cultivate children's interest in learning mathematics, we should first pay attention to more encouragement and less criticism. When a child makes a mistake, we should patiently analyze with the child where the mistake is, what is the cause of the mistake, what lessons to learn from this mistake, and how to avoid the same mistake from happening again in the future. For example, when many children do problems, they often make calculation mistakes. Some parents always say to their children, "You are too careless. Be careful next time! " ! "Such charges often don't work. In fact, for children's calculation errors, it is necessary to analyze the wrong questions in detail. Some mistakes are due to carelessness, some are due to calculation methods or skills, and their ability is not as good as that of other students. After clever calculation, they can't make mistakes. Frequent mistakes in calculation are often due to the fact that the calculation ability and proficiency are not as good as those of other students.
2. Make children more successful and less daunting.
Many parents sometimes give their children some problems to do at home. At this time, you must pay attention to your problem, and you should be close to life and children. These problems should be left to the children to think about, and they can be solved with a little effort, which is what we call "one jump can be done." Second, don't do more questions that have no thinking value and are mechanically repeated, so that children can feel fresh about the questions. Even if it is a very common topic, parents can put it together with some beautiful and interesting stories to make children feel interesting and learn. For example, reading and writing within 100 million yuan, "digital sequence table" is a very important knowledge point, how to master it? You can't memorize. Through observation, it is found that there are many interesting number games in the table: four digits or four digits are the first level; Fifth, the fifth place is 10000, the ninth place is 1 100 million, and the progress between two adjacent counting units is 10. This kind of activity allows children to find a pattern. Students are interested and willing to learn. It is better to unconsciously write down the numerical sequence table in music learning than to let children memorize it blindly.
3. Let the children wear more hands, draw a picture, listen and cut it. Pupils mainly think in images and gradually transition to abstract thinking. Turning bad operations into good operations is more in line with children's cognitive laws. There is a difference between hands-on operation and non-hands-on operation. Hands-on operation can turn abstraction into concreteness and help students think and solve problems. For example, you can only make a straight line after two o'clock. Let the students try to nail a piece of wood on the wall. How to nail the batten so that it won't slide is the first choice. The child found this rule by nailing the wood strips.
Second, help students develop good study habits.
The best time to cultivate some habits is in the primary school stage, which is also the stage where differences are most likely to form. Children are still young, and the beginning of training should be mandatory, that is, specific requirements, specific supervision and specific inspection. Some parents ask a lot, but they don't carefully check and implement them. After a long time, children understand their parents' temper and then take advantage of their parents. Only by putting forward specific requirements for children and carefully examining them can children feel the seriousness of their parents' requirements, and then restrain themselves from turning their requirements into actions. Practice has proved that as long as children can adhere to the correct requirements in their studies, good study habits will be developed and their academic performance will be improved rapidly. Good study habits, including:
1, teach children to listen carefully in class.
Listening: It is generally considered that listening to the teacher is not comprehensive. Listen carefully in class, not only to the teacher, but also to the students. The students are on the same starting line as you. What he thinks, what I think, is he right or not? Learning to listen to others' opinions is the premise of learning to cooperate. Since entering the information society, without the participation and cooperation of people, any major invention is impossible. Therefore, cooperation consciousness and cooperation ability have become important qualities for people's survival and development. Today, our children are not uncompetitive, but too uncooperative. Parents should encourage their children to cooperate with their peers, instead of just intensifying competition and saying "you have to compete with someone" all day. In study and life, let's work together at home and school to create opportunities for children, so that children can learn to communicate, help each other and share in cooperation with others, which can not only respect, understand and appreciate others, but also make themselves better respected, understood and appreciated by others.
2. Develop the habit of thinking independently and not afraid of difficulties.
Children are afraid when they encounter a slightly difficult problem, or seek help when they encounter a little difficulty, which is very unfavorable for cultivating the habit of independent thinking. When a child can't ask for help, parents should not teach him directly, but should analyze with him, help him, teach him how to analyze problems, and gradually transition to let him master this analytical method and think independently.
Dare to think, be good at thinking, you can be "unconventional" and "whimsical". Major breakthroughs in life come from new discoveries and challenges to the status quo. Therefore, it is very important to cultivate children's habit of thinking independently and not afraid of difficulties for training their thinking ability and cultivating their innovative spirit.
3. The habit of being serious and responsible.
Judging from our years of teaching, many parents report that many children do their homework carefully and then give it to their parents "please check it for me". It is said that the next day, if the teacher saw a wrong question, the child criticized the parents: How did you help me read it? This review habit must be cultivated, and parents can't do everything, which is very unfavorable for children's development. Children should be allowed to check themselves. If you check your child's homework every time, let him develop an irresponsible attitude: whether to do it or not is my business, and whether it is your parents' business is not my responsibility. So, this is also very important.
4. Some basic habits.
For example, correct writing posture, neat and clear handwriting, standardized format, careful reading and examination of questions are the most basic habits that every child must have.
Dear parents, all for children, all for children, all for children, is the greatest wish of all teachers in Longfeng Primary School. But every child is a unique world, and it is difficult to find an educational model suitable for all families and all children. Some of the suggestions mentioned above are for reference only. Please criticize and correct the improper points.
Dear parents and friends, "Parents are the teachers of children all their lives", and your concern for children is directly related to their future. For the healthy growth of children, we came together. For the sake of our beautiful ideal, we must work together to realize it. Teachers are willing to start from bit by bit and work with parents to educate your children and our students. I believe that your arrival will make the children's academic performance go up a storey still higher. Finally, I wish your child an early success! I wish all parents a happy family, good health and all the best!
