First, make points and lines.
Make a line first, and the parallel lines to be made later will be based on it, as shown below. First, use the Line Ruler Tool in the sidebar to draw a line segment on the sketchpad. Then select "Point Tool" in the sidebar, click the mouse on the drawing board and make a point outside the straight line.

Second, draw parallel lines.
1. Click the "Move Arrow Tool" in the toolbar with the mouse, hold down the "Ctrl" key, click the point and line in turn, select the line segment and point, and then click the "Construction"-"Parallel Line" command in the menu bar;
2. Now there are parallel lines passing through the point, but the parallel lines are long. We use the point tool to make two points on parallel lines as the two endpoints of the line segment to be intercepted.
Give two random examples on parallel lines.
3. Now use the Line Ruler Tool in the sidebar to connect the two endpoints. At this point, right-click the parallel line and select "Hide Parallel Line";
4. In this way, parallel lines are made, and the effect of parallel lines is shown in the figure below.
Follow the above steps and you can draw parallel lines. If you want to limit the length of a line segment, you must first determine the length of the first line segment. You can try it. At present, the Geometer's Sketchpad is on sale at the end of1February. You can go to official website if necessary.
