With the strong support of the Education Department of Sichuan Province, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics hosted the third "Sichuan University Students' Financial Technology Modeling Competition".

502 people signed up for the preliminary contest of the second competition, and 327 people actually submitted codes, including 28 1 in colleges and universities in Sichuan and 46 in colleges and universities outside Sichuan. The top ten universities in the preliminary round are Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Sichuan Agricultural University, Chengdu University of Information Science and Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, geely university, xihua university, Sichuan University, East China Normal University, Shanghai Jiaotong University and Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications. The top 50% players in the preliminary round advanced to the semi-finals, covering 25 universities and 54 majors. The second competition attracted many undergraduate and graduate students from inside and outside the province, and all of them achieved excellent results.
This year's "Sichuan University Student Financial Science and Technology Modeling Competition" is open to full-time undergraduates and graduate students from universities inside and outside Sichuan Province. The problem of risk management and control in the financial industry is put forward, and the contestants are required to use desensitization data to complete the modeling process and propose solutions. Through the competition, participants can get in touch with the cutting-edge topics in the financial technology industry, apply what they have learned, and cultivate their comprehensive ability to solve practical problems and their knowledge application ability.
Second, the description of the competition topic
Based on the customer's application information and loan product information, the user's repayment behavior (whether to repay in advance) can be effectively and accurately identified by using statistics or machine learning algorithms. The application information includes the basic information of desensitized customers and the credit information of customers before this loan; The information of loan products includes the information of loan products. This competition provides a training set and a test set. The ultimate goal of the model is to make the repayment prediction of the model as close as possible to the real repayment behavior, and the prediction ability of the model is measured by the performance of AUC value on the test set. The organizer calculates the model AUC results of the contestants and ranks them through unpublished test set labels.

The contest organizer will provide the results to the platform, and the platform language is not limited. During the whole competition, players need to submit the competition code and prediction results to the platform.
The contest consists of five parts: registration, preliminary contest, rematch, evaluation and final.

During the preliminaries, participants have five opportunities to submit their scores every day.

Results The top 50% contestants are eligible to participate in the semi-finals, and those who enter the semi-finals need to complete the model and code optimization within the specified time period and submit it to the competition platform.

The judges will grade the code standardization, and combine the comprehensive evaluation of the modeling results to judge the winners of the first, second and third prizes. In the final, the contestants will be asked and answered by way of defense, and the specific form will be notified separately. The judges will ask some professional questions about the player's code name and model. During the defense, the contestants' modeling thinking and model application ability were investigated, and the special prize list was determined after comprehensive consideration. The final score will be weighted by the rematch evaluation score and the defense score.
