According to Baidu Encyclopedia, Huajin Cup Junior Mathematics Invitational Tournament (referred to as "Hua Cup" for short) is a national large-scale junior mathematics competition launched on 1986 to commemorate Professor Hua, an outstanding mathematician in China. Co-sponsored by China Youth Newspaper (now China Youth Publishing House), China Optimization Method, Overall Planning Method and Economic Mathematics Research Association, and CCTV Youth Center. China Cup is the largest, most formal and most difficult primary school competition in China.
