In Shanghai, the compulsory education stage is a "5+4" academic system, and the grade of primary school is only arranged to the fifth grade. Therefore, the fifth grade math test in primary school is the "junior high school" test. All examination subjects in junior high school adopt the percentile system, that is, the full score is 100.

After graduating from the fifth grade, students enter the "junior high school preparatory class", which is what we often call the sixth grade. After finishing the preparatory class, they went on to read the first, second and third grades.
