Hefei No.46 Middle School was founded in 1946, formerly known as Hefei Wanci Primary School, and 1975 was renamed Hefei No.46 Middle School.
In order to speed up the construction of Hefei's modern lakeside city, rationally adjust the layout of educational resources, promote the balanced development of Hefei's education, give full play to the advantages of running a school, expand the social benefits of high-quality educational resources, and better meet the people's needs of "being good at school and eager to learn", according to the decision of the municipal party Committee and the municipal government, in September 2007, the school merged with the junior high school affiliated to Hefei Normal University, and the whole system was moved to the new lakeside area, becoming the first school in Hefei.
Learning conditions
The unique teaching and experimental building in Hefei No.46 Middle School is in harmony with the teachers' office building. In the south, there is a playground and standard basketball court with a total area of more than 2,000 ㎡, and an artificial lawn has been laid, which has increased the effective activity space of 3,200 ㎡ through campus renovation. The teaching and experimental building has an underground bicycle parking lot of over1300m2, which can park the bicycles of all teachers and students.
The lobby on the first floor is above1300m2, where all teachers and students can gather and go to the indoor physical education class. The platform on the second floor is more than 600 ㎡, which can be used not only for students' recess activities, but also for going to physical education class. According to the requirements of compulsory education, in order to strengthen quality education and cultivate qualified talents needed by the country, the school raised funds from various sources and gradually equipped various teaching facilities. There are two physics laboratories, a chemistry laboratory and a biology laboratory.
There are two computer rooms, two multimedia rooms, a multimedia academic lecture hall, a language lab, a science and technology activity room, a library, a reading room for teachers and students, a music room, an art room and a table tennis hall. All the rooms are put into normal use.
