Simple Reasoning of High One Olympiad
It was interesting to make simple reasoning with the fat man last night.

The topic of simple reasoning is really simple. Even the fat man himself said it was so simple. Give me some examples.

Example 1: A, B, C and D ran four races, and the results of each race were as follows:

(1) A runs faster than B;

(2) B runs faster than C;

Ding runs faster than A. ..

Who runs fastest? Who runs the slowest?

Example 2: Xiaoqing, Xiaohong, Xiaolin and Xiao Qiang are taller than each other.

Xiaoqing said, "I am taller than Xiaohong."

Kobayashi said, "Xiao Qiang is shorter than Xiaohong."

Xiao Qiang said, "Xiao Lin is shorter than me."

Please write down their names in descending order.

Example 3: Mingming and Gang are good friends. Their fathers are workers, doctors and the People's Liberation Army. Please guess their father's occupation according to the following three sentences.

(1) Mingming's father is not a worker;

(2) Liang Dad is not a doctor;

(3) Mingming's father and Liangliang's father are listening to a father who was a PLA man telling a battle story.

Most of what I did before today was the above questions. Generally interesting. After all, this is a first-year Olympic math problem, and the fat man is already in the second grade. Very interesting is the following topic.

Example 4: There are two kinds of people on the island: liars and honest people. Every word of a liar is a lie. He who tells the truth is telling the truth. If one day, you go to the island to explore and meet three people on the island: Wang, Li and Zhang. They have this conversation:

Wang said, "Both Li and Zhang are lying."

Li said, "I didn't lie."

Zhang said: "Li is really lying."

Children, can you know how many of them lie and how many tell the truth?

When I did this problem, I didn't give any hints, just let the fat man think about it and tell me the answer. As a result, he got it right. It's just a little poorly worded.

Example 5: Three athletes, A, B and C, all won prizes at a sports meeting. Their sports are basketball, volleyball and football. Now we know: A is taller than volleyball players; Football players are shorter than C and volleyball players. Please think about what athletes A, B and C are respectively.

The fat man thought about this question and said there was something wrong. Then I took a look, and there was something wrong. "Football players are shorter than volleyball players." The volleyball players here should be basketball players. Otherwise, we can't work out the answer.

Example 6: Dad bought three balls, two red ones and one yellow one. Dad told his younger brothers and sisters to sit back to back, gave his younger brother a red ball, gave his younger sister a yellow ball and hid the rest behind him. Dad asked his brother and sister to guess the color of the ball in his hand according to the color of the ball in his hand, and whoever guessed it correctly would give it to him. So who can guess right?

The fat man thought about this question for a certain time, because I let him see it himself, and he didn't understand the meaning of the question. After I helped him tidy it up, he smiled and said, it must be my sister.

From these exercises, I found that he should look at the questions by himself. I will subconsciously tend to read the topic, and some important words will be read or emphasized several times, so that it is easier for him to do what I emphasize. But let him see for himself. While understanding the main idea of the topic, he should also find the key sentences or the first step to solve the problem. For example, in Example 3, (3) Mingming's father and Liangliang's father are listening to a father who was a PLA man telling a battle story. Obviously, it is the first consideration. But if I don't emphasize it, he may have to repeat one or two sentences or several times before he finds the original breakthrough in the third sentence. Also in Example 4, Li said, "I didn't lie." He Zhang said, "Li is really lying." Obviously, they are two completely opposite sentences. I may inadvertently emphasize these two sentences when I look at the topic. He understood as soon as he heard it. But when he looks at the topic himself, he may have to think twice before he finds that these two sentences are opposite, so one must be lying and the other telling the truth; From this, we can know that neither of them can lie, so Wang Yiding is lying.

Therefore, in addition to continuing to study and seeing various problems in the future, he should also improve his reading comprehension ability. This is a vital ability. This ability is not good, and everything else is blind.

This is probably the advantage of taking children to study: they can find out their shortcomings in time and help them to improve and improve purposefully in the future.
