Northwest Normal University, formerly known as National Beiping Normal University, 1902, formerly known as Teachers College of Shi Jing University. 1937, Beiping Normal University, National Beiping University and Beiyang Institute of Technology moved westward to form Northwest United University. 1939, Northwest United University Teachers College was established independently and became the national Northwest Teachers College. 1988 was renamed Northwest Normal University.
