Pinyin is easier. From the perspective of a liberal arts student, I think pinyin is simpler. Is to teach pronunciation, writing and some pronunciation rules, and read them every day. But mathematics, because of its inherent logic, I always can't figure out the clue, and because mathematics abstracts concrete things, it needs to be concrete when explaining, but it also needs to let children understand the logic and some abstract thinking patterns. Mother tongue is always easy to teach.
