A bus and a truck go from A to B at the same time. When the bus traveled the whole distance (one third), the truck traveled 24 kilometers. When the bus arrived at the terminal, the truck had traveled the whole distance (four fifths). How many kilometers is it between A and B?

Speed ratio: bus: truck = 1: 4/5 = 5: 4.

When the bus has completed the journey 1/3, the truck has completed the journey: (1/3)/5x4=4/ 15.

Distance between Party A and Party B: 24/(4/ 15)=90 (km).

2. Two cars, A and B, leave the two places relatively at the same time. A car traveled three-fifths of the whole journey in three hours, a car traveled 45 kilometers more than B car, and B car traveled 10 kilometers to reach the midpoint. What is the distance between the two places?

Distance between the two places: (45-10)/(3/5-1/2) = 350 (km).
