I am Hu Zhiyang, the top liberal arts scholar in this year's autonomous region. I graduated from Baotou No.1 Middle School and have been admitted to Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. It is a great honor to communicate with you here today. (Bowing to the audience) As you all know, this activity was organized by several students who just took the college entrance examination like me. I was traveling in Sichuan at the beginning of July, and several of them contacted me and pulled me in, saying that they would never treat me badly after the job was done. I agreed to join at that time. Because I have little experience in public speaking or public appearance, I think I can seize this opportunity to exercise myself. As for making money, I haven't thought about it. Because I don't think many tickets can be sold, they just don't want me to pay. There are quite a few people here today, so on behalf of the organizers of this activity, I thank you for your support for young people's entrepreneurship! (Bowing to the audience)

I think we bought tickets to listen to us here, mainly because we want to learn the experience of study and examination. So I started from this place.

First of all, I would like to ask how many students here are liberal arts students or have the will to study literature in the future. Please raise your hand. All right. Let me ask the students who just raised their hands, how many of you are really interested in liberal arts, or do well in liberal arts, instead of studying literature to avoid mathematics and physics, or have the intention to study literature? Please lift it again. All right. In fact, there is a saying among liberal arts students that "mathematics is fiercer than tigers"! Because the six courses of liberal arts, Chinese, English, history and geography are all based on image thinking, but mathematics can be said to be pure logical thinking. Physiologically, the right brain is in charge of the former, while the left brain is in charge of the latter. In other words, math lives in a big single room in the brains of liberal arts students, and the other five courses are crowded into one room. Then everyone said it was strange. We liberal arts students regard mathematics as an uncle, and it uses us as slaves. Actually, that's not what you mean, because as long as you are not smart enough or stupid enough, everyone's left and right brain development is unbalanced. In other words, quite a few people do have "organic" difficulties in mathematics learning, which is more common among liberal arts students with relatively developed right brain. However, having difficulties is not the reason why you can't learn math well or even give up. 150 math accounts for one-fifth of the total score of the college entrance examination, but it is definitely more than one-fifth important to liberal arts students. We can't afford to lose. Take myself as an example. As we all know, it is difficult for us to widen the gap between Chinese and English. This year, the comprehensive literature topic was sentenced to death, and the score of the whole autonomous region was very low. There is no doubt that only one subject can make us stand out. My math score in the college entrance examination this year is 148. Science is nothing, but liberal arts is really awesome.

In fact, before I was a freshman in arts and sciences, I was quite poor at math. At that time, I was in the rocket class, and our math teacher was the famous Gao Zhanhua. Of course, now he no longer works in Baoyi No.1 Middle School, and goes to Yimeng to earn an annual salary. Mr. Gao claims to be the highest level math teacher in our package 1. In fact, he is very good at tutoring math competitions. As we all know, the difficulty of the math contest is quite wonderful. This high teacher is used to tutoring in competitions, and basically disdains simple questions. Basic knowledge and definition theorem are basically not talked about in class, because he acquiesced that we all mastered them. But I'm really not as smart as other students. Many times, Miss Gao wrote a question on the blackboard, and I was still scratching my head. He announced in Yimeng dialect, "Alas, kill four simple questions." Therefore, my math scores can be imagined. My biggest failure was missing 3 points. Teacher Gao also said, "Alas, it's so simple that I can still sleep after answering the paper." Of course, I have no intention of criticizing Miss Gao at all. He is my favorite math teacher. I can only say that I don't adapt to his teaching style. I am also reflecting on myself after studying literature. I think the mess of mathematics learning at that time was not because of the "organic" problem just mentioned, but because of the deviation of learning path. High-rise buildings have sprung up, and one thing I must emphasize repeatedly is the cliche of basic knowledge. For mathematics, the basic knowledge is mainly various definitions, theorems and formulas. A student who needs to consult the basic trigonometric identities, angle doubling formulas and sine and cosine theorems from time to time can't solve problems quickly, let alone face them with ease. After mastering definitions, theorems and formulas skillfully, a large number of efficient exercises are possible. The importance of practice is self-evident, especially in mathematics. There are three main purposes: to see all kinds of questions and master their problem-solving ideas; Exercise calculation ability and improve accuracy; Adjust the psychological state of answering questions and exams.

Based on this, we should pay attention to the following points in the practice process: (1) Easy questions are the main ones, while difficult questions are the auxiliary ones, and too complicated questions can be discarded appropriately. Among all sets of mathematics volumes in China, the second volume of the new curriculum standard in Inner Mongolia is moderately difficult, especially for liberal arts mathematics. Therefore, in the process of practice, we should lay a solid foundation, do a good job in simple questions, strive to improve the accuracy and score as many points as possible in a limited time. For most students, spending too much time on solving difficult problems does not mean that you will definitely solve difficult problems in the examination room, which may backfire, dampen your learning confidence, reduce the scoring rate of the whole paper and make yourself physically and mentally exhausted. In the final analysis, it is not worth the loss. (2) In practice, we should pay attention to summary and analysis. It is necessary to prepare a wrong question. In this book, we need to accumulate the problems learned in class and after class, as well as the ideas, methods and skills of solving problems, as well as the analysis and reflection on right and wrong problems. Not only should you write wrong questions, but you should also read them frequently and internalize them step by step, so that your math level can be improved steadily. (3) the organic combination of the part and the whole. The "part" here refers to each topic, and the "whole" refers to the comprehensive practice of the college entrance examination model. Before entering the general review of senior three, students basically don't touch the comprehensive paper, and often forget the front after learning.

The general review will be based on the knowledge of each module, from compulsory one to five to elective one by one, and then expand the scope of the examination, so that everyone can gradually adapt to the comprehensive paper. In this process, we should combine our own situation, strengthen the weak links through local exercises, integrate knowledge, exercise the answering skills of the comprehensive paper, and improve the scoring rate of the whole paper. Just like climbing a mountain. You have to step on every step and keep climbing, and the college entrance examination is just an observation deck on this mountain. (4) The most important thing is the accuracy of operation. Not if the number is wrong, but if the number is right, a lot of practice and good habits are very important. As mentioned before, the so-called "good habits" mainly have the following two points. First of all, concentrate on eliminating all external and internal interference. Some students asked me: can I listen to music when writing math? I said I didn't dare, afraid of miscalculation, and it would take time to calculate left and right, so I might as well listen after writing. Everyone may have this habit. I hope the students can think independently and don't be distracted when doing the problem. Second, the writing is neat. This neatness is of course relative. Most of the students got the draft paper, which was written all over the floor and the handwriting was very scrawled. This is not only easy to misread the figures, but also leads to the situation that the questions can't be found in the middle of the calculation and then the calculations are reworked, which is very harmful. On the premise of ensuring efficiency, the calculation on the draft paper should be as regular as possible, which needs practice and improvement. Let me talk about my own views on the problem. Here, I would also like to mention the college entrance examination questions that we use in Inner Mongolia-two national new curriculum standards. The questions on this set of papers have one characteristic: paying attention to thinking. In other words, the problem is not as complicated as before the curriculum reform, and no one can't figure out the result, but it sets a bottleneck for you, and the focus is on your mathematical thinking. If it is a small problem, it is the same as a big problem. The amount of calculation is greatly reduced, but every step of writing should be thought about how to write next. There is no way out by working hard. Therefore, we need to think more, try more and open up new ideas in the process of learning and doing problems, so that we can break through the difficult problems and get high marks.

Let's stop here for the math part. Let's talk about the most helpless subject-Chinese. This helplessness mainly means that it is difficult to improve Chinese performance. As a language, the improvement of Chinese proficiency is a long-term accumulation process. Examination results are another matter. How much can Mo Yan get if he is called to answer a Chinese paper? Later, I analyzed each of my exams, and found that the level of Chinese performance mainly depends on the correct rate of multiple-choice questions, including the first nine three-point single-choice questions and five-point double-choice questions in the first question of big reading. If there are no big mistakes, the scores of subjective questions including composition are not much different, but the scores of 32 multiple-choice questions are very different. The high one can get 30 points, and the low one is about 10. My Chinese score in the college entrance examination this year is 13 1.5. Usually, Chinese is rarely tested 130, but I got such a good score in the college entrance examination, mainly 32 points. This is the importance of multiple choice questions. Moreover, the scores of multiple-choice questions are much easier to improve than other questions. Through intensive training before the exam, you can achieve more remarkable results. In addition to paying attention to multiple-choice questions, another experience of my Chinese is composition. How long does it take each person to write a composition on average? Please raise your hand if you have less than forty minutes. All right, raise your hand for 40 minutes to 1 hour.

Yes, raise your hand for over an hour. Generally, there are two situations in which the composition takes less than 40 minutes. One is quick thinking, the other is lack of time, and the composition is barely finished or even not finished. The latter situation, I often met before. When I was writing, I had a pen in my hand, and the nib seemed to float on the paper, anxious to write something. Isn't there an "800-word prompt line" on the test paper? I feel like the finish line of a long-distance race. I don't know if I can climb there. Later, I came up with a way to deal with this situation, which is to prepare examples in advance. Many times, people write argumentative essays, and argumentative essays definitely need examples to support them. Therefore, writing examples is definitely the most time-consuming, and sometimes there will be situations where you can't think of examples anyway. So I suggest you prepare the following examples-note that you don't prepare them under the table during the exam, but usually keep them in your mind and move them up again during the exam. This has two advantages, one is to save time, and the other is to make your examples more detailed and fluent. For example, Du Fu is not as busy as he was some time ago. You can boss him around. When writing, you can simply describe Du Fu's life in exquisite language. You can listen to what I wrote:

You are a sculpture that stands between heaven and earth, and also a permanent and abrupt hut between painters and painters. Du Fu, a famous poet, was so ordinary and even mediocre in your first half of life. Being trapped in Chang 'an has killed your ten years of elegance. You certainly didn't expect that what achieved you was a wandering in the dust of heaven and earth and a trip without seeing the horizon. In the face of Qiang village elders, you wrote "sigh, four tears"; In the face of Xin' an people, you wrote that "the eyes are dry and the bones are seen, and the world is cold"; When the dilapidated residence was destroyed by the autumn wind, you screamed at the sky and shouted out the heroic spirit of China literati-you are one of the group images of the times, but you stand upright because you dedicated yourself to the times and the journey. Practice has made Du Fu and a heart that always cares about the world.

The topic to be demonstrated here is "practice", of course, this example can also appear in the composition of other topics. Such as "Suffering and Success", "Ordinary and Extraordinary" and so on. Of course, the use of examples should be relatively pertinent. At first glance, examples that have nothing to do with the theme will definitely be caught by the marking teacher, so we should prepare examples in all aspects, ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign, to avoid duplication and waste of energy. Multi-angle quotation is necessary, but it needs to be contacted and clarified. In other words, try to lean up and repeat the theme of the article. Write the words "grateful" and "grateful" without appearing ten times and eight times. Are you worthy of the omniscient marking teacher? You can prepare examples from now on. Fifty or so examples should be able to cope with most situations, but these examples must cover all aspects, be rich and substantial, and the language is smoother than instant noodles. All the time saved is yours. You can put it in other questions and leave enough time for multiple-choice questions, which will win-win.

People in China are like this. Let's talk about English. In fact, my English score in the college entrance examination this year is not ideal, only 134.4, and I can usually get 140 in the usual exam. There are four exams at a time, and I feel the least pressure when I take the English exam, because I have plenty of time. If you don't listen, you can write a composition from the radio and then draw an answer sheet, which is about 40 minutes left. So why can I write so fast? Because I attach great importance to the accumulation of vocabulary. We have studied English from primary school to high school for more than ten years and memorized countless words, phrases and sentence patterns. The new course only requires about 3500 words. You can buy a vocabulary in the outline and have a look. In fact, there are still many uncommon or even unfamiliar words in these 3500 words. Of course, these words need to be mastered. There are also some less obvious knowledge blind spots, such as a familiar word with a strange meaning, a common verb with a phrase you have never seen, and so on. Such literacy work should continue. How exactly did it accumulate? Teachers often say that a good memory is better than a bad writing, which is true.

So I suggest you prepare a special vocabulary book, write down unfamiliar words, phrases and sentence patterns every time, look through them from time to time and gradually internalize them. Vocabulary accumulation to a certain extent, single choice, cloze, reading, composition will benefit. Take composition as an example. Do you know the English composition for this year's college entrance examination? Yes, the one who sells Chinese knots. The title requires describing the size of Chinese knots, and requires you to master long and wide phrases, otherwise you can't write them at all. Speaking of composition, I have to mention one more thing, that is, writing. When you have enough time, I suggest you make a draft first, and then copy it on the answer sheet after finalizing it. The handwriting should be as beautiful as possible and try not to be altered. Writing is very important to the score of English composition. I once heard a junior high school teacher say that one year in the senior high school entrance examination, a student couldn't write an English composition at all, so he wrote an article neatly in Chinese Pinyin. When the marking teacher saw it, it was so beautiful and exciting, full marks! My English teacher in high school took the college entrance examination, and she said those days were the hottest time of the year. The marking teachers are all concentrated in a small room, the iron gate is locked outside, the police are watching at the door, the electric fan is buzzing in the room, and the teachers feel like they are in prison. At this time, if your composition is refreshing and beautiful, in the words of our teacher, "it's like letting the marking teacher drink a bottle of iced sprite", then the starting grade will be very high and you won't dig your little mistakes. On the other hand, if the writing is messy, it will be painted everywhere, with black films on the left and black films on the right, and the initial score will drop below 18. If he is in a bad mood, the marking teacher will pay special attention to your mistakes. If you deduct one point here and one point there, this composition is likely to score below ten points. We usually practice writing, take the template of Hengshui students and copy it down with blank composition paper. The composition written by Hengshui students is too exaggerated. At first glance, it was shocking. It doesn't look like handwriting at all, and it's no different from printing. Of course, you don't have to practice to that extent, but you should pay attention.

Write this question. Let's emphasize the font again here. To make the composition look "refreshing", each letter should be written as succinctly as possible, and which tick marks should be drawn as much as possible to make it disappear. Many students, including me, like to write "fancy" letters, which is actually not good. Both the speed and quality of writing should be taken into account, and it needs constant practice and gradual improvement.

Finally, the most troublesome and worrying subject-comprehensive literature. The students sitting under the stage are not all senior three. Let me introduce the mode of comprehensive questions in the college entrance examination first. Literature synthesis is three courses of politics, history and geography. There is a big difference between junior high school and senior high school, and there is also a big gap between senior one and senior two. Politics, history and geography in junior high school have no technical content, mainly by rote memorization. In high school, the difficulty is greatly increased, because you have to answer questions with your brain instead of copying and pasting mechanically. This is especially true in senior three. There are three main reasons why it is not easy to get comprehensive results. (1) The spirit of the new curriculum standard is to cultivate students' thinking and innovative ability, which is of course reflected in the college entrance examination. For students who lack the ability of independent thinking and innovation, the difficulty is self-evident. (2) The number of questions is large. There are 35 multiple-choice questions and 8 big questions, and time is tight. It is difficult to answer them well. (3) The scoring rate of subjective questions is low. Subjective questions, that is, in the process of judging big questions, the standard cards are very dead, and they are scored entirely by words. If a word appears, it will be given points, and if it does not appear, it will not be given points. Our teacher said half jokingly that the answer asked for "revolution", but you wrote "counter-revolution", and you still got points. Of course, this is the place where the college entrance examination is unreasonable, but as the saying goes, "the college entrance examination is everything", since it can't be changed, we can only choose to adapt. In view of the above three points, I put forward the following suggestions to the students: (1) Pay attention to multiple-choice questions and ensure the scoring rate of multiple-choice questions. Since the big questions are not easy to divide, we must grasp the multiple-choice questions. This requires appropriate strengthening of multiple-choice questions in the usual training. It should be noted that the time to answer multiple-choice questions must be controlled within 50 minutes, not more than one hour at most, otherwise the big questions will not be finished. (2) Pay attention to skills when writing big questions. Answer in points, clear and clear; On the premise of not making common sense mistakes, try to make as many points as possible, and those who are sure in the front and those who are not sure in the back; Usually accumulate answering terms, try to use subject words when answering questions, and try to avoid colloquial expression. (3) You can use extracurricular books to broaden your horizons. The extra-curricular books mentioned here mainly refer to books directly related to disciplines, such as General History of China, Geographic Atlas and so on. Last year, I bought China Atlas of Physical Geography and World Atlas of Physical Geography as reference books for geography study, which broadened my horizons. Questions 6, 7 and 8 of the multiple-choice questions in the geography volume of this year's college entrance examination are three groups of questions about Taiwan Province Island. I saw the related contents in the Atlas of Physical Geography of China before the exam, so I quickly put 12 into my pocket. It should be emphasized that extra-curricular books can only play an auxiliary role, and should mainly be browsed, so as not to take up too much time. Otherwise, the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. In the process of browsing, you can sketch the key contents and consciously think and summarize them, so that your ability can be improved.

All right, that's it. Below, there are four ideas that I want to share with you most.

First, analyze the college entrance examination questions. It is suggested that all students who are about to face the college entrance examination order the book Analysis of College Entrance Examination Questions of Liberal Arts (Science) published by Higher Education Press. If the college entrance examination next year, the school orders 20 14, and needs to buy 201,20 12, 20 13. The content of this book is the national liberal arts (science) college entrance examination questions, answers, analysis of questions and overall evaluation of test papers in last year's new curriculum standard. The purpose of buying this book is to carefully analyze the college entrance examination questions over the years. What needs to be emphasized is that the process of this analysis should be independent, and you can't read the analysis given in other people's books several times. The purpose of the analysis is to be familiar with and gradually master the topics, questions and answers of the college entrance examination questions. Year after year, the volumes are similar, but the problems are different. Only by grasping the constant thinking of solving different problems can we climb out of the sea of questions and avoid preparing for the exam blindly like headless flies. This is very important if you want to succeed in the college entrance examination.

Second, listen to the teacher. Many students, especially those with good grades, often stand on their own feet and are independent of the teacher's review process in the preparation stage of review. Judging from my own experience and the lessons of many classmates in the past, I think this is very undesirable. Teachers have been teaching and reviewing a certain course for decades, and their experience is much richer than ours. In the review process of senior three, we should follow closely the teachers of all subjects and complete the review tasks assigned by the teachers. At the same time, we should have some autonomy and keep thinking and groping. All the experiences I have mentioned above should be combined with our own situation and should not interfere with our daily study and review plan.

Third, about repetition. I don't know if you understand, but I am a repeat student. I stayed in Baoyi No.1 Middle School for four years, and the third year of high school was a memorable year. There is a famous article "We are not God's Children", which tells the story of the top liberal arts scholar in Guangxi Province in 2007. There is such a passage at the end:

"A heart, it is absolutely not hurt by the pursuit of dreams. The loss and pride, clarity and confusion of the road to study lie in what kind of mentality you have. Efforts will fail, and there will be times when I lose courage, but I must work hard. I am working hard. I need strength, silence and will. Everything is just a process, and success and happiness are the destination. Life can be boring, but you must be happy. We are not children of God, we are just children with dreams. "

Yes, none of us are children of God. Fate has given us the mission to change our destiny, and it has also given us the test of success or failure. Speaking of this, I think of a lyric by Wang Feng: "Run with your head held high on the land full of sharp blades, with a brave heart that never cries." Last year, I took the college entrance examination for the first time. It's a pity that it's difficult to meet math problems, and my answers are in a mess, which also affects the development of comprehensive literature. In fact, I prepared for the second interview before I was admitted, but I didn't expect to do so badly in the exam. I almost never got the second place in the whole school, and suddenly fell to the seventh place in Bao No.1 Middle School and more than 400 in the autonomous region. I remember that at that time, I turned my mobile phone to the maximum, and the whole room was filled with an old song "Camel Bell": seeing off my comrades and embarking on a journey. Silent tears, camel bells ringing in my ears. I sent the lyrics of this song to the students who are about to enter the university, but the last sentence is very good: let's meet again when the spring breeze brings good news! With this belief, I once again walked into Bao No.1 Middle School, which I had already said goodbye to, switched classes to repeat classes, became classmates with a group of former schoolmates, and faced the college entrance examination again. I am not a child of God, but what a lucky child I am! This year, I won the college entrance examination in one fell swoop and entered Peking University, which I miss so much, and Guanghua, which I dream so much. Senior four is a patient and rewarding year for me. I must admit that the pressure is enormous. I must stick it out. For the first time in my life, I feel so responsible. I want to accept my fate and change it. Here, I have the responsibility to remind the students that it is absolutely a helpless choice to repeat reading, and it is a gamble with fate. Just because I won today doesn't mean you will win tomorrow. Repetition is only suitable for those students who have made irreparable major mistakes in the examination and registration process, and thus have plummeted, far from reaching their usual level. Those with insufficient pressure resistance should be cautious! Be careful if your application results are acceptable! This is the suggestion of an eyewitness.

Fourth, and finally, about the college entrance examination. Having said that, we are actually talking about this topic. Here is a good news for everyone: according to Calvin's "first conclusion", our children in Inner Mongolia are all "voters" of God, not "deserters". In other words, facing the college entrance examination, we are a group of lucky people. You can refer to a line from all provinces in China and the scores of Peking University and Tsinghua over the years. Our Inner Mongolia, especially the liberal arts, can be said to be at a very low level in the whole country. Of course, some people will say that the college entrance examination questions in different provinces are different. But as far as liberal arts is concerned, with my experience in doing college entrance examination questions in various places, the difficulty of the new curriculum standard National Volume II used in Inner Mongolia is also at a very low level. The superposition of these two "very low" means that it is much easier for our students in Inner Mongolia to enter famous schools and universities than those in other provinces, especially Shandong, Guangdong, Hubei, Henan and Hebei. We have studied hard for more than ten years, just to seize the opportunity in the fierce social competition and live the life we want. The ideal is full and the reality is very skinny. In recent years, a large number of colleges and universities have expanded their enrollment, and the problem of difficult employment for college students has become increasingly prominent. I think it is a big question mark whether an ordinary university can change its fate. Bai said it well: without the college entrance examination, can you compare with the rich second generation? So, what reason do we have not to work harder? Why not rely on your own efforts to get into a better university and strive for a better future for yourself? Hengshui is a famous super middle school in China, and it is also a "purgatory on earth". There are three sentences written on the hall wall of the second-grade teaching building of Hengshui: "What am I doing in Hengzhong? What kind of person do I want to be? How did I do today? " We are glad that we are not in purgatory, but we should also ask ourselves not to let ourselves continue to sleep on thorns. Finally, I still want to end today's communication with you with a lyric. June 23rd, the year of college entrance examination, was the first sleepless night in my life. With mixed feelings, I waited until dawn, once again turned my mobile phone to the maximum, and played a song "Life in Full Bloom" by Wang Feng:

How many times have I fallen on the road and broken my wings? Now I no longer feel lost, I want to go beyond this ordinary life. I want a blooming life, just like flying in the vast sky, just like walking in the boundless wilderness, with the power to get rid of everything. I want a life in full bloom, just like standing at the top of a rainbow, just like walking through a bright galaxy, with the power of Paramore.
