Liu Hui grew up in Qilu, which provided good objective conditions for his contribution to mathematical theory. Zou Lu's hometown is the birthplace of Confucianism, and Gong Xue, Linzi, Xia Ji, attracted famous scholars from all over the country and became one of the centers of a hundred schools of thought in the pre-Qin period. From the Han Dynasty to the Wei and Jin Dynasties, Qilu had a strong academic atmosphere. In the 2nd and 3rd centuries, great thinkers appeared, such as Xu Gan, Zhong Changtong, Wang Su, Zheng Xuan and Wang Bi. During the Cao Wei period, Qilu was one of the centers of controversy. Therefore, Liu Hui received a good education from an early age and was exposed to the wind of controversy. On the other hand, in the 2nd ~ 3rd century, mathematics in Qilu area was relatively developed, and famous mathematicians such as Liu Hong, Zheng Xuan, Xu Yue and RoyceWong appeared, forming a mathematics center focusing on studying nine chapters of arithmetic, which provided rich materials for Liu Hui to learn from Tessa as a teenager and "learn from what he saw" as an adult and engage in in in in-depth mathematical research. Under such objective conditions, it is possible for Liu Hui to change the tradition of emphasizing practical experience and neglecting theoretical research in mathematics, and shift to the direction of attaching importance to theoretical research.
