Spring in the south of the Yangtze River is drizzling and foggy. Or, the green leaves are covered with warm sunshine, and the red dragonfly flies happily in the muddy air.
My story with Jay took place in Jiangnan, Jiangnan in spring.
I was fourteen years old that year, in the prime of my life. I live a carefree junior high school life in the top class of a small town middle school. In the eyes of many classmates, I am an introverted boy because I don't like talking to them very much. Of course, Jiehe is an exception.
Dong Zi is my deskmate and my best friend. He is a dark-skinned, short guy who makes you laugh every time he speaks. He is good at math, poor in English, and mediocre in other subjects.
Sitting next to me is Jie, who is my primary school classmate. When I was in a rural primary school, both boys and girls were embarrassed to talk. Any boy who talks to a girl will be teased by other boys. After graduating from primary school, I consciously brought this fine tradition to the small town middle school. As you expected, Jay destroyed my fine tradition.
In the second day of junior high school, the classroom of our top class moved to the newly-built Yuanxing Building and lived next to the top class in junior high school. There are two poplars and a locust tree outside the classroom, which were planted in late summer and early autumn.
