Shen Zhuliang: (year of birth and death to be tested), high character. A famous politician and strategist in the Spring and Autumn Period, one of Ye's ancestors.
In the Spring and Autumn Period, he was named Ye Yiyin, so he changed his surname to Ye.
Ye Gong was born in the royal family of Chu, and his great-grandfather was the father of the five tyrants in the Spring and Autumn Period. After Qin sent troops to repel Wu Jun, King Zhao of Chu became Yin in Ye Yi, an important town in northern Chu. Ye Gong adopted the strategy of raising troops to help the people, developing agriculture and strengthening national strength, and organized the people to build the earliest existing water conservancy project in China, which irrigated hundreds of thousands of acres of farmland, more than 200 years earlier than Dujiangyan of Li Bingxiu. The northeast and Xibei sites built by Ye Gong are well preserved so far, which witnessed the history of Ye Gong's water control. Before Ye Gong died, he left "Don't see the big with the small; Don't get sick behind the royal family; It is not the will to win over imperial scholars, doctors, and nobles to educate the descendants of Ye, but Confucius, a great thinker and educator at that time.
According to the Zhou Li, after Ye Gong's death, he was set up to enjoy sacrifices. Later generations partly changed Shen to Ye in order to commemorate the virtue and hometown of ancestors, which is the origin of Ye. Therefore, Ye Gong is also recognized as the ancestor of China people with Ye surname in the world. Since the Warring States period, it has gradually spread from the Central Plains to the south and overseas, and its descendants are spread all over five continents. Every year around Tomb-Sweeping Day, in front of the tomb beside the Lijiang River, descendants of Ye at home and abroad have returned to their hometowns to worship their ancestors, which has become a major landscape of cultural tourism in the Central Plains.
