drill wood to make fire

About 6000 years ago, in the age of Suiren, when human beings were still in ignorance, Suiren happened to find woodpeckers looking for insects to eat in small holes in trees with their long sharp mouths. Because the worm went deep, the woodpecker couldn't reach his mouth, so he had to drill with a hard-pointed mouth. As a result, smoke and fire emerged. Inspired by this, people began to drill wood for fire. However, not all wood (firewood) can drill fire, which is discovered in long-term practice; The variety of firewood should be selected, and the variety of firewood should change with the seasons, so that the fire can be drilled. If you just pick up a firewood drill, you won't get any kindling. During the period of Xuanyuan Huangdi, there were officials in charge of fire drilling all over the country. They are responsible for selecting firewood that can drill fire all year round. For example, in spring, dried elms and dried willows must be used to drill wood for fire; In summer, you must choose dried dates, apricots and Sang Mu; Choose oak and beech in autumn; Dry Sophora japonica and sandalwood are selected in winter. All this firewood can make a fire. The ancients called this method of making fire "embarrassment". After the Yellow Emperor, human beings mastered the technology of artificial lighting in the Western Zhou Dynasty. People make a round mirror with copper, and the middle is concave. When they light a fire, they face the sun and the object burns immediately. The ancients called it "Yangsui" to make a fire.

After the wind and the guided car

As we all know, China's "Four Great Inventions" in ancient times made great contributions to human civilization. The compass, in particular, is still one of the instruments widely used in navigation in the world. So, who first invented the most primitive compass-compass? This problem has to start from the time when Emperor Huang hit Chiyou 5000 years ago. Legend has it that the Yellow Emperor and Chiyou fought for three years and 72 times, but failed to win. In World War I, Chiyou was on the verge of defeat. He invited Fengbo Rain Master to give orders, making it difficult for the Yellow Emperor's army to attack. The Yellow Emperor also quickly invited a goddess named Hiderigami to cast spells to keep the army from moving forward. At this time, the scheming Chiyou released a fog, which immediately filled the fields, causing the Yellow Emperor's army to lose its way. The Yellow Emperor was so anxious that he had to order the troops to stop moving and stay put. And immediately called ministers to discuss countermeasures. Ying Long, Chang Xian, Da Hong, Li Mu and other ministers are all here, except Feng. Some people wonder whether the queen of the wind was killed by Chiyou. Huangdi immediately sent people to look around, but there was still no sign of wind after searching for a long time, so Huangdi had to look for it himself. The Yellow Emperor came to the battlefield and saw the Queen Wind sleeping alone in the chariot. The Yellow Emperor said angrily, "When and how did you sleep here?" Sitting up slowly after the wind said, "I'm not sleeping, I'm trying to find a way." Then, pointing to the sky, he said to the Yellow Emperor, "Look, why does the Big Dipper in the sky turn instead of the handle?" I have heard that Gao Bo found a magnet in the process of quarrying and smelting copper, which can absorb iron. Can you make something that will point in the direction according to the principle of the Big Dipper? With this kind of thing, we are not afraid of getting lost. The Yellow Emperor smiled and said, "That's what you thought when you were lying here. "The Yellow Emperor told the ministers about this idea, and everyone discussed it and thought it was a good idea. Then, it is the wind design, and everyone starts to do it. After several days and nights of fighting, we finally built an instrument that can guide the direction. Mounted on a chariot after the wind, the dummy points south. After the wind, he told all the troops: "once you are fascinated by fog in wartime, you can immediately distinguish the southeast and northwest by looking at the direction pointed by the dummy on the guide car." "From then on, the Yellow Emperor's army is no longer afraid of the fog of human-god. Everyone is brave and good at fighting. They fought bravely for the first place. Finally, he defeated Chiyou, chased him to the field of Zhuolu and killed him. The Yellow Emperor opened up the road to the Central Plains and controlled the middle reaches of the Yellow River. Soon after, due to old age and infirmity, the Yellow Emperor found many famous doctors and medicines for him, but none of them were cured. After his death, the Yellow Emperor and his ministers were very sad. In order not to forget the achievements after the wind, the Yellow Emperor personally chose a cemetery for him and buried it in Zhaocun, north of the Yellow River. Later, the world renamed Zhaocun as "Fenghou Mausoleum", which means that this is Fenghou Mausoleum. " Fengling School is now the "fenglingdu" in Tongguan, East Shaanxi.

Ning Feng Zhitao

People's daily life can't be separated from ceramic products, even if they raise a pot of flowers, they need a ceramic flowerpot. So, who was the first person to invent pottery? According to ancient records, his name is Ning Fengzi, and he is a skillful craftsman around the Yellow Emperor. There are many stories about his pottery making among the people.

Legend has it that in the period of the Yellow Emperor, although people knew how to cook food with fire, they didn't have pots, pots, bowls and cans. So they can only cook their prey with open fire and catch it with both hands. When you are thirsty, go downstream and drink water with your hands. This is especially inconvenient for the elderly and children. On one occasion, Ning Fengzi caught a lot of pointed tail fish from the river and put them on the fire to roast. The results were all burnt. In a rage, Ning Fengzi sealed the remaining pointed tail fish with mud and put it in the fire. Just then, the Yellow Emperor sent Ning Fengzi on a business trip, and he left for three days. When I came back, someone asked about cooking fish. Ning Fengzi remembered the pointed tail fish he put in the fire when he left, and hurried to the fire to plane. Who knows, when it is dug out, the fish is long gone, leaving only a mud shell, which can be seen or eaten; Knock it with your hand again, and it will make a clang. Everyone around us laughed, and some people sarcastically said, "Ning Fengzi has great ability to burn soft fish into hard fish." Ning Fengzi didn't care, just held the burnt clay shell in her hand, looked left and right, and then said to everyone, "Don't laugh, although the fish didn't eat it, it can cook something useful." After that, he took the mud shell to the river and filled it with water. After careful observation for a long time, he found that every drop of water in the mud shell did not leak. Ning Fengzi likes to use his head very much. He thought, what would it be like to seal the mud on something else and burn it? When he saw some stumps cut down on the river beach, he had a brainwave, scraped out the sediment by hand, stuck it on the stumps, and set it on fire for three days and four nights. After the fire goes out, he intends to look at the ashes; At present, it is not half a stump of the mud lake, but a hard mud jar with reddish soil. Ning Fengzi used animal leather bags to pour the water from the river into the hard mud jar until it was full, and no water leakage was found.

Ning Fengzi was so happy that she forgot everything and wanted to bring the hard clay jar back with water to give good news to everyone. Who knows, I pushed too hard and broke the mud jar. The water flowed all over the floor. Ning Fengzi is not discouraged. Sitting on the ground, he has been thinking that after burning, the soil can become a hard shell, which can hold water and food. Why not burn more? However, how to fry in the end, his heart is still countless. He reported these two experiments and his own ideas to the Yellow Emperor, and invited him to see the broken clay shell. The yellow emperor was very happy after reading it. He thought this invention was very useful, so he appointed Ning Fengzi as the "Zheng Tao" of overseas Chinese. I don't know how many experiments and failures have been experienced, but the first batch of pottery of the Chinese nation has finally been successfully fired. The appearance of pottery solved a major difficulty in human daily life. Over the years, archaeologists have discovered a large number of painted pottery, such as pointed-bottomed bottles, jars, bowls and pots, in Banpo of Xi, Qiao Shan of Huangling, Yangshao and Longshan of Henan, which fully proves that pottery-making has a long history of several thousand years in China. Ning Fengzi, the earliest inventor of pottery, is said to have accidentally slipped into the furnace while burning pottery and was unfortunately burned to death. In memory of Ning Fengzi, people called him a "fairy".
