When students enter the high school gate, some students' mathematics learning has maintained a good development trend, and some students' mathematics learning has declined in a large area. Many parents have doubts. When I was in junior high school, my math score was 90, 100. How can I have difficulties in high school and even fail? Investigate its reason, we can simply summarize the following aspects:
(A) the impact of the environment on students
Many students have just passed the senior high school entrance examination and been admitted to key high schools, and they have ushered in the study life of senior one with a rest attitude. Brand-new classmates and teachers, brand-new schools and brand-new learning environment all bring freshness to freshmen in senior high school. Under the new environment, it seems that the "relaxed and beautiful" high school life of middle school teachers has arrived, and the mentality has undergone subtle changes. The kind of hard work and struggle in junior high school is gone forever.
(B) the impact of teaching materials on students
The textbooks used in junior high schools are popular and specific, and most of them are constants. The current high school textbook is divided into modules, and the selection is abstract. Variables and models dominate. Senior high school mathematics textbooks are divided into compulsory courses and elective courses, with as many as ten books. The most difficult and logically abstract function part appears in compulsory one of freshmen. There is a saying in high school mathematics that "he who gets the function gets the world". It is no exaggeration to say that the thinking mode and model application of functions run through high school textbooks. It is such an important and difficult point that has just appeared in front of freshmen, so the structure of teaching materials is also a challenge for freshmen.
(C) the impact of class hours on students
In junior high school mathematics learning, students have enough time to polish and consolidate because of less learning content and more class hours. In high school, the school opened nine college entrance examination subjects, which doomed the arrangement of mathematics learning time. The weekly class hours range from at least five hours to at most seven hours, and the capacity of 40 minutes per class requires students to make effective use of class time. The mathematics classroom in senior high school is paved and progressing, while the mathematics classroom learning in junior high school is rolling back and forth. This may be absolute, but it is undeniable that there are some inequalities in the curriculum standards and class arrangements of senior high school mathematics.
(D) the impact of studying law on students
Junior high school math teachers explain carefully, review and consolidate in place, and there is still time to look back from time to time. But high school has more content and less time. Many times we need to learn from students' own understanding. Mathematics learning in senior high school pays more attention to the cultivation of thinking quality and inquiry ability. Not many questions, but good. Knowledge is not only available, but also applicable and collated. Facing the sea of questions, students must have their own set of effective learning and review strategies.
In order to make a good connection between junior high school and senior high school and take the first step in senior high school, we need to strive to do the following:
(1) Get ready.
Do a good job in entrance education. Through entrance education, let students know what the real high school study life is like, see clearly the challenges and opportunities before them, and quickly integrate into the role. At the same time, students should be given the necessary ideal education, and their learning objectives should be defined to stimulate their learning motivation. Please let the outstanding students in senior grades or even just graduated know the problems that should be paid attention to in high school through reports and seminars, and avoid detours.
(B) to find a good starting point for convergence
Find the knowledge points that are not connected in the high school textbooks, and the contents of the junior high school textbooks have been deleted, which will be used for learning after high school; Find out the knowledge points to be applied after junior high school, such as Vieta theorem, factorization, cross multiplication, properties of linear function and quadratic function, etc. Integrate these contents, concentrate on class hours and teach students at the beginning of school.
(C) Optimize the teaching process
There are many knowledge points that are difficult to understand, such as set and mapping. In teaching, we can lower the starting point, start with simplicity and concretize abstract concepts, so that students will not climb so steeply at the beginning, increase their sense of gain in learning mathematics as much as possible, and cultivate their interest and confidence in learning mathematics.
(d) Make full use of feedback and evaluation.
Through classroom quizzes and weekly and monthly exams, we can find and solve problems in time, collect students' knowledge and learning doubts in time, correct mistakes in time, adjust teaching, and strive to be flexible in thinking, clear in chapters and clear in units.
The Mathematics Curriculum Standard for Senior High School clearly points out that in modern society, mathematics education is an important aspect of lifelong education, the basis for citizens' further study and the need for lifelong development. Let's seize the new period of high school students' psychological development, make a good connection between junior high school and high school, and pave the way for students' future high school life.
