Math problem 560
The distance between Party A and Party B is 560 kilometers, and buses and trucks start from Party A and Party B at the same time. Four hours later, they met. When they met, the bus traveled 60 kilometers more than the truck. How many kilometers do trucks and buses travel per hour? (Answer in two ways. )

Method 1:

Solution: suppose that the truck travels x kilometers per hour and the bus travels y kilometers per hour.

4x+4y=560

4x-4y=60

x=77.5

y=62.5

Method 2:

Because each of them walked for 4 hours, and the bus walked 60 kilometers more than the truck, indicating that the bus traveled more than the truck per hour:

60 ÷ 4 =15km

Every hour:

(560 ÷ 4+ 15) ÷ 2 = 77.5km/h。

The truck runs every hour;

(560 ÷ 4-15) ÷ 2 = 62.5km/h
