Junior high school students' academic examination, referred to as "senior high school entrance examination", is an examination to test whether junior high school graduates have reached the graduation level of junior high school. It is a necessary condition for the issuance of junior high school diplomas. In China, these subjects are designated as subjects of national curriculum, and all of them are included in the scope of junior high school level examination. The senior high school entrance examination is conducted after the college entrance examination, and the specific time is determined by all localities.
On April 6, 2022, it was learned from the website of the Ministry of Education that the General Office of the Ministry of Education recently issued the Notice on Doing a Good Job in the Proposition of the Senior High School Entrance Examination in 2022, demanding that the syllabus or examination instructions of the junior high school level examination be resolutely cancelled in strict accordance with the curriculum standard proposition, and that it is not allowed to expand or narrow the scope of the over-standard proposition and examination content at will. It is strictly forbidden to take the contents of high school courses, subject competition questions and off-campus training as examination contents to ensure the connection between teaching and examination. The notice proposed that we should actively promote the provincial unified proposition.
Provinces that do not have the conditions should study and put forward a work plan to accelerate the provincial unified proposition, clarify the timetable and road map, and realize the provincial unified proposition of the senior high school entrance examination by 2024.
