First, Jishou University
Jishou University, referred to as "Jida" for short, runs across Jishou City and Zhangjiajie City. It is a university jointly established by the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the provincial departments of Hunan Provincial People's Government. It is a domestic first-class discipline construction university in Hunan Province, and has been selected as one of the national "Basic Capacity Building Project of Central and Western Universities" and "Excellent Doctoral Education Training Plan".

Xiangtan University Xiangxi Branch merged into Jishou University to form the Department of Physical Education. In 2000, Jishou Health School was merged into Jishou University. 200 1 Xiangxi Institute of Ethnic Education and Jishou Normal School for Nationalities merged into Jishou University to form Jishou Normal College.
Second, Hunan University
Hunan University, referred to as "Huda", is located in Changsha. It is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, and is jointly established by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Hunan Provincial People's Government and the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. It ranks among the national "World-class University Construction University", "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project".

1937 became one of the national universities of the Ministry of Education of the National Government 16. 1949 In September, the National Hunan University was renamed Hunan University. On August 20th, 1950, Comrade Mao Zedong wrote the name of the school. In 2000, Hunan University and Hunan University of Finance and Economics merged to form a new Hunan University.
3. Xiangtan University?
Xiangtan University, referred to as "Hunan University" for short, is a comprehensive national key university founded by Comrade Mao Zedong. It is a university approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education and jointly established by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. It is a first-class university in Hunan province, which is supported by the Ministry of Education and Hunan Province to build high-level universities and universities with characteristic disciplines.
It has been selected into the national "11/plan", the national applied mathematics center, the first batch of national intellectual property information service centers in universities, the national new engineering research and practice project, the collaborative innovation center jointly established by provinces and ministries, the first batch of national patent collaborative application pilot units, and the education and training plan for outstanding legal talents.

Fourth, Changsha University of Science and Technology.
Changsha University of Science and Technology &; Technology) "CSUST" is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Transport and the Hunan Provincial People's Government. It belongs to the "National First-class University" in Hunan Province (Class A) and was selected as the "Basic Capacity Building Project of Universities in the Midwest".
The Ministry of Education's "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program" and the Ministry of Education's "Innovative Experiment Program for College Students" are members of China Electric Power University Alliance, Green Transportation Alliance and China-Russia Jiaotong University Alliance. It is a typical university with graduates' employment experience and a model university for deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education in China.
Changsha University of Science and Technology was formed by the merger of Changsha Jiaotong University and Changsha Institute of Electric Power in 2003. The predecessor of Changsha Jiaotong University is Changsha Navigation Engineering School founded by Ministry of Communications 1956, and the predecessor of Changsha Electric Power Institute is Changsha Hydropower School founded by Ministry of Electric Power Industry 1956.
Hunan Water Conservancy and Hydropower School founded by 1956 and Hunan Light Industry School founded by 1958 (later renamed Hunan Institute of Light Industry) merged into the original Changsha Institute of Electric Power in 200 1 and 2002.
5. Hunan University of Science and Technology
Hunan University of Science and Technology, located in Xiangtan City, is a university supported by the Hunan Provincial People's Government, the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the former state administration of work safety, the national "Basic Capacity Building Project for Universities in the Midwest" and the "National First-class University" in Hunan Province.
"Hunan Province 20 1 1 Plan" has been selected into universities, "excellent" universities evaluated by the Ministry of Education, "excellent engineer education and training plan" universities of the Ministry of Education, the first batch of universities with typical experience in innovation and entrepreneurship in China, and universities with typical experience in graduate employment in China. It has the right to recommend outstanding undergraduate graduates to study for graduate students without taking the test, the qualification of "master students" and the right to recruit students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. ?
Hunan University of Science and Technology was formed by the merger of Xiangtan Institute of Technology and Xiangtan Normal College, the second undergraduate normal university in Hunan Province, in 2003. Its school history can be traced back to Xiangbei Institute of Architecture, which was founded in 1949. Xiangtan Institute of Technology was founded in 1978, formerly known as Xiangtan Coal Institute, and is an undergraduate college directly under the former Ministry of Coal Industry.
