In 2023, the senior high school entrance examination in Anqing, Anhui Province will be held from June 14 to June 16.

The examination time of music, art and other subjects is arranged after the end of the corresponding courses. The discipline of physical education and health is implemented in accordance with the Notice of Anhui Provincial Department of Education on Doing a Good Job in Physical Education and Health Examination in Early and Junior Middle Schools in 2023 (No.55 [2023] of Anhui Education Department).

The experimental operation and information technology examination work shall be carried out in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Work Plan for Experimental Operation Examination of Junior High School Academic Level in 2023 (Annex 1) and the Work Plan for Information Technology Examination of Junior High School Academic Level in 2023 (Annex 2).

Examination mode

Chinese, mathematics, foreign languages, physics and chemistry are subject to paper-and-pencil closed-book examinations, and genuine student dictionaries are allowed to be used in Chinese examinations; Morality and the rule of law, history, paper and pen open-book examination, allowed to bring textbooks and other related materials. Biology and geography are subject to paper-and-pencil closed-book examinations. Calculators are not allowed in all subjects. Music and fine arts can take a combination of process and summative examination.

Exempt from the requirement of foreign language listening test. Hearing-disabled students can be exempted from listening to foreign languages with the approval of the education authorities when the results of pure-tone listening tests at 500 Hz, 1000 Hz, 2000 Hz and 4000 Hz show that the average hearing loss per ear is equal to or greater than 40 dB (HL).

The conversion method of foreign language scores after listening exemption is: candidates' foreign language test scores = candidates' foreign language written test scores × the ratio of foreign language total scores to written test scores. The specific application procedures and requirements for hearing exemption are determined by the municipal education bureaus.
