School education should not only "face all", but also "teach students in accordance with their aptitude". While insisting on the all-round development of students, we should pay more attention to the cultivation of gifted students and the development of students' personality. The eugenics mentioned here refers to both excellent students in all aspects and excellent students in only one aspect. According to the social development trend and the reality of our school, this paper puts forward some thoughts on cultivating excellent students in our school:
First, raise awareness and change ideas.
Schools should actively organize teachers to learn, so that everyone can clearly understand the true meaning of "talent" and the various influences of eugenics on a school, so that teachers can attach importance to eugenics and actively and consciously cultivate them. As the saying goes: "Seventy-two lines, each with its own wonderful." Society needs not only professionals from all walks of life, but also "generalists" who specialize in many functions and develop in an all-round way. We must believe that every student wants to become a talent, and the vast majority of students can become talents. School education is to strive to practice "three concessions and one tree", that is, "to make students become talents, to reassure parents, to satisfy society and to build a civilized school spirit".
Second, do a good job in classroom teaching and give full play to the advantages of eugenics.
The main position of quality education is in the classroom, and of course the main channel of eugenic training is also in the classroom. Therefore, teachers should attach importance to classroom teaching, stimulate students' interest in classroom teaching, and protect and cultivate students' innovative consciousness; Teachers should give students the right to ask questions, and students should let other students answer questions first, that is, they should give students the initiative to learn and let students participate in questioning, discussion, operation, induction, reasoning and even lectures. Teachers should carefully design questions and homework so that students can try, train and improve.
In classroom teaching, teachers should be good at using eugenics, let eugenics play a leading, organizing, demonstrating and driving role in learning, fully exercise and improve the ability of eugenics and give full play to its advantages.
Third, carry out extracurricular activities to develop the potential of eugenics.
In addition to extracurricular activity groups such as music, sports, fine arts, calligraphy, foreign languages, science and technology, and handicrafts, schools should also set up interest groups such as composition, reading, mathematics, reading, and stories in different grades to develop the potential of eugenics and promote their further development. Among them, music is divided into interest groups such as solo, chorus, physique, dance and instrumental music, while sports is divided into interest groups such as track and field, basketball, table tennis and badminton.
Extracurricular interest group activities are held twice a week for one hour each time. Each group has 1-2 teachers with expertise or ability in this field as tutors. Prepare lessons in advance for each activity and submit them to the grade group or the guidance office for inspection. Tutors should systematically cultivate students' interest groups and persist in doing well. On the premise of ensuring that most students are interested in learning, we should pay special attention to the cultivation of top students, so that these students can stand out as soon as possible and become role models for other students and spiritual motivation for continuous progress.
Fourth, broaden the ways of eugenic exercise.
Schools should actively provide "useful places" for gifted students so that they can constantly exercise and improve.
1. quiz. Once a week, there are about 10 questions in each issue, and each question can contain several small questions. Test questions should be difficult and set for different grades. The content involves Chinese, mathematics, nature, society and other disciplines, as well as various useful and interesting knowledge about the international and domestic situation, life, brain teasers and so on. Every time a student answers a big question correctly, he will get a corresponding material reward, or a pen, or a bottle of ink, or an exercise book. Of course, in addition to the school's prize-winning quiz, all grades and classes can also use appropriate time to carry out this activity, with the aim of more effectively mobilizing students' enthusiasm, so that more students can consciously participate in the quiz and participate in extracurricular information collection, data access, analysis and thinking. Our aim is to make most students develop in different degrees in this activity (especially gifted students), and let many gifted students gradually develop good habits of loving learning, studying, accumulating and thinking.
2. Run the school newspaper well. The school newspaper mainly distributes students' works, including calligraphy, art, exercises, diaries, wonderful fragments, heartfelt words, aphorisms, as well as students' own short messages, praises, criticisms, suggestions and learning methods, problem-solving ideas, interesting exercises, etc ... The school newspaper is rich in content and easy to mobilize the enthusiasm of gifted students in all aspects. Once the work is published, it will be paid in time according to the standard to encourage students to create better works.
3. In addition, we should make full use of the school's blackboard newspaper, window and red scarf broadcast to publish various eugenics works, or let eugenics host various activities, conduct various exchanges and participate in social practice activities. Each class should also improve the incentive measures around the overall thinking of the school, give gifted students more opportunities, constantly exercise gifted students, develop their abilities and improve their quality.
Five, to carry out competition activities to improve the quality of eugenics.
The school will hold several large-scale activities in each period, or hold competitions in different grades. Generally, you should do activities once a week and at least once a month.
For example, according to the time sequence of each academic year, school-wide activities can include National Day singing contest, National Day essay writing activity, winter track and field sports meeting, New Year's Day entertainment performance, spring "three-ball" (basketball, table tennis and badminton) sports meeting, sports "reaching the standard" competition and "June 1" entertainment performance. Of course, in addition, there will be campus culture and art festival, campus singer contest, painting and calligraphy exhibition, small production exhibition, story meeting, speech contest and so on.
Grades can be divided into composition competitions, mathematics competitions, language and mathematics knowledge competitions, all-round knowledge competitions, reading competitions and various competitions around school activities in advance.
Schools should actively select talents through activities, carefully cultivate and exercise, and actively organize outstanding students to participate in all kinds of off-campus competitions at all levels, such as on-site composition competitions, mathematical Olympics competitions, calligraphy and painting competitions, vocal competitions, entertainment performances, winter track and field games, "Bud" cup basketball competitions, and essay-writing activities.
Six, the establishment of guiding awards to mobilize enthusiasm.
Gifted students who have won prizes or published works in various competitions will be given a certain reward, and a corresponding teacher guidance award of 5- 100 yuan/person will be set up according to different grades (including 80- 100 yuan at the national level, 60-80 yuan at the provincial level, 40-60 yuan at the municipal level, 20-40 yuan at the county level and 5 at the school level). At the end of the guidance award, the results of teachers' guidance will be included in the award category of each teaching effect award, and linked to the annual assessment of teachers, so as to encourage teachers to attach importance to the cultivation of eugenics and mobilize their enthusiasm for cultivating eugenics.
Seven, research summary, consolidate and improve
Schools, guidance offices and grade groups should regularly organize relevant teachers to study (note: no less than 2 times per period), study measures to cultivate eugenics, sum up experiences and lessons, exchange experiences, hold training lectures, discuss teaching methods, study eugenics thoughts and psychology, enrich teachers' experience, improve teachers' ability and quality, and strengthen eugenics training, so that the whole school can form a good atmosphere for cultivating eugenics and achieve "cultivating eugenics".
Of course, while we advocate attaching importance to the cultivation of gifted students and the development of students' personality, we must not forget the teaching principle of "facing all" and pay attention to other students, especially the underachievers. Our education should always adhere to the all-round development of students, and all students' development can achieve large-scale gains.
