Mathematics application problems in the fifth grade of primary school
1. The increased area of flower bed is obtained by multiplying the increased length of flower bed by the width of flower bed. That is 2.5 times the width = 15, so the width is 6 meters.
The area of the original flower bed is the length times the width of the original flower bed, that is, 10 times 6=60 square meters.
Now the flower bed area is the current length times the width, that is, 12.5 times 6=75 square meters.
