The word geometry comes from the translation of geometric elements. The Elements of Geometry is the most influential and largest mathematics textbook in the history of mathematics in the world. The introduction of Geometrical Elements into China was first attributed to Xu Guangqi, a scientist in the late Ming Dynasty. One of the great contributions of Xu Guangqi and Matteo Ricci's Chinese version of "The Elements of Geometry" is that the Chinese name of the discipline studying graphics is "Geometry", and some basic terms in geometry have been translated.
