There are some apples to distribute to the children in the class. If everyone has two apples, there will be three left. If there are three apples per person, there will be three less. How many children are there? How many apples are there?

There are x children and 2X+3 apples.

Column equation:

3X-3=2X+3

Get X=6.

2X+3= 15

So there are six children, 15 apples.
