Shen Youcheng (190 1 ~ 1978), 190 1 was born in gaoping county, Shanxi province on June 3, and 1978 died in Beijing on April 22. A famous mathematician, Professor Peking University. Mainly engaged in the research of complex variable function interpolation theory, differential equation and mathematics education. 1922 ——1926 studied at Nankai university. 1931-1934 studying for a doctorate in mathematics at Harvard university. 1935 was invited to work in Peking University. During his stay at Harvard University, Shen Youcheng studied under the famous mathematician Professor J.L.Walsh, and his research topic was to express general analytic functions by polynomial series or rational function series. During this period, Shen Youcheng spoke highly of the research on interpolation theory. After returning to China, he made many new contributions to interpolation theory and its application.
