He is an ancient scientist and historical and cultural celebrity in China. Since childhood, Li has been smart and studious, reading widely, especially proficient in astronomy, calendar, mathematics, Yin and Yang studies, etc. Who is Li's father, Li Bo? He used to be a small official of the county government in the Sui Dynasty. Frustrated by his rank, he abandoned his official position and became a Taoist priest. He is quite learned. He named himself Huang Guanzi, annotated Laozi, compiled ten volumes of local chronicles and wrote astronomical images. Therefore, under the influence of his father Li, he was known as a "prodigy" from an early age, especially fond of astronomy, geography, Taoism and the study of Yin and Yang. At the age of 9, he went to Jingyun Temple in Nantuo Mountain, Henan Province to worship Yuan Daochang as a teacher. /kloc-when he was 0/7 years old, he returned to his hometown, was recommended by Li Shimin's good friend Liu Wenjing, became a counselor in Li Shimin, and took part in the uprising against Sui and Xing Tang Dynasties. In 6 18, Li Yuan proclaimed himself King of Qin, and Li Wei, Minister of Qin, joined the army. In the first year of Tang Zhenguan (627), Li Feng Chun appeared in Li Tang because of his astronomical attainments. The calendar used in the early Tang Dynasty was Fu's Five Tones Yuan Calendar, which had some defects. Li made a detailed study of this and put forward some suggestions for revision. Emperor Taizong sent people to inspect and adopted some of his suggestions. In ancient times, calendar compilation was a specialized subject, which was difficult for ordinary scholars to ask. However, when Li was in his twenties, he put forward some suggestions on the revision of Wuyin Yuanli, which naturally attracted people's attention. He was also praised for this, was awarded a general, and entered the Taishi Bureau to start his career as an official astronomer. Li let Shi Lang go straight to Taishi Gongfu. Li is in charge of astronomy, geography, calendar and historical compilation, and he has been playing his best for 40 years.
What was the cause of Li's death?
One. Poisoned by Emperor Taizong: Li was killed by Emperor Taizong because he was afraid of revealing secrets. This is because the emperor often has a complex of respect and fear for tricks. On the one hand, I hope I will live forever, on the other hand, I worry that others will know the secret and draw a gourd according to the same pattern, which will harm my own interests. This knife cuts bread and fingers. It's good to have the power to be used by me. If it doesn't work, it must be eliminated.
2. Natural death: According to records, Li died in 670, died of illness in the post of Taishiling, and was made a baron after his death. However, in 649 AD, Li Shimin, Emperor Taizong, who was three years older than him, died at the age of 50. Therefore, Li can't have been poisoned. Li died at the age of sixty-nine. He has compiled more than ten books, such as Records of Cultural Relics, Yi Si Zhan, Records of the Secret Pavilion, and Playing Skills of Qi People, most of which were circulated in that era. His son Li Yan and grandson Xian Zong are both officials.
