There are many classes in a school, and there are many people in a class. COUNTIF function can use EXCEL function to calculate the total number of students in each class.

The method comprises the following steps:

1. Open the EXCEL table to be operated, enter the function =COUNTIF (in the target cell, and then click to select the cell area where the class is located.

2. Continue to enter the number of classes to be counted in the function edit box, such as "Class 1", and then press Enter to finish the input.

3. Similarly, if the number of classes to be counted is "Class 2", enter the corresponding function formula = countif (A 1: A 15, "Class 2") in the cell and press Enter.

4. Return to the EXCEL table and find that the operation of counting the number of students in each class has been completed.
