Just now, in 2023, the Suzhou Junior High School Academic Level Examination Scheme was released. Suzhou implements the "two-in-one" of junior high school graduation examination and entrance examination, which are collectively called "junior high school level examination" (referred to as "senior high school entrance examination").

The examination forms include paper-and-pencil examination (open book or closed book), computer examination (answering questions on the computer or man-machine conversation), on-site test, work or performance appraisal (individual homework, grade or group homework, grade), process test or examination, etc. The total score of admission scoring subjects is 740 points.

Chinese, mathematics, English (written test), physics, chemistry and history are subject to closed-book examinations, while morality and rule of law are subject to open-book examinations. The automatic English listening and speaking examination shall be carried out according to the relevant documents of the Provincial Department of Education, and the physical education examination plan shall be issued separately.

Examination time: Chinese 150 minutes, mathematics 120 minutes, English (written test), physics, chemistry 100 minutes, morality, rule of law and history 50 minutes.

The grades are divided into "qualified" and "unqualified". The biology and geography exam takes 60 minutes, and the information technology exam takes 45 minutes. The time of other examination subjects is determined according to the requirements of the subject.

Physical and chemical students' experimental operation, labor technical operation ability and information technology examination are organized in a unified way, tested on the spot and implemented in branch schools. The scores of examination subjects can be used as a reference for the admission of all kinds of high schools. The reference weights are formulated by all localities according to the actual situation and must be reported to the Municipal Education Bureau for the record.
