Department of Mathematics and Information Science

The Department of Mathematics and Information Science of the School of Science of Chang 'an University is a grass-roots unit specializing in teaching and research in mathematics and related fields. It not only undertakes the teaching of mathematics courses for undergraduate and graduate students in the whole school, but also shoulders the important responsibility of the construction and development of various professional disciplines in the department. There are 72 teachers, including 36 with senior professional titles, 4 with master's degree 10, 9 with doctor's degree and 4 with postdoctoral degree, and more than 0 are studying for master's degree or doctor's degree10. The whole department has three professional teaching and research sections: computational mathematics, applied mathematics and probability statistics, and the public course has advanced mathematics teaching and research section. As teachers of basic courses in engineering colleges, the teachers of this department have not only completed a lot of teaching tasks, but also engaged in scientific research activities unremittingly and tirelessly. They have successively participated in the completion of several national natural science foundation projects and the national high-tech research and development plan (863), and published papers in Journal of Differential Equations and Journal of London Mathematics. Socialists, computers &; mathmatics IEEE Trans。 Many famous professional journals at home and abroad, such as Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, Journal of Mathematics, Journal of Applied Mathematics and Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, have published their high-level research results, showing strong research potential and good development momentum. In addition, remarkable achievements have been made in teaching and research. He has compiled more than 20 textbooks and won nearly 10 national and provincial teaching prizes.

Although the Department of Mathematics and Information Science has not been established for a long time, there are still many gaps in many aspects. However, we believe that as long as all teachers are United, down-to-earth, and work hard, they will certainly make great progress in personnel training, discipline construction, scientific research, and form a number of influential research results at home and abroad, forming their own unique research directions in the fields of differential operator spectrum theory, engineering numerical calculation methods, probability theory and mathematical statistics, and creating a reasonable structure.
