Unified enrollment of higher education
The general college entrance examination refers to the system that students in ordinary colleges and universities choose outstanding college graduates to take the unified examination organized by the Provincial Education Examinations Institute in the next semester of the third grade before graduation (some provinces issue examination papers to undergraduate schools), and then enter the undergraduate colleges and universities to continue the general undergraduate education according to the original major or related majors.
Education in ordinary colleges and universities began at 200 1. According to the Decision of the Central the State Council on Deepening Education Reform and Promoting Quality Education in an All-round Way (Zhong Fa [1999] No.9), the Notice of the Ministry of Education on the Enrollment Plan of Ordinary Colleges and Universities this year and the spirit of the education work conference, in order to build different types of ordinary colleges and universities that are compatible with the socialist market economic system and the inherent laws of higher education,
Unified enrollment policy for undergraduates
First, the enrollment target
Only this year's outstanding full-time ordinary college graduates, some provinces should be able to apply for previous graduates (including retired ordinary college students and soldiers to enter ordinary colleges and universities without examination). Different provinces, cities and schools have different regulations. Some provinces, cities and schools require 425 points in Shanghai Band 4, and there is no record of failing; Some provinces, cities and schools do not have this requirement. For details, please refer to the policies of the provinces in that year. The college entrance examination registration is limited to the undergraduate colleges in the province where the major is located, and it is not allowed to enter the examination across provinces, and the reported major must be consistent with the major studied. At present, some places allow cross-majors.
Second, the enrollment major
As far as the enrollment majors of college students are concerned, the majors set by different schools in different provinces are not the same, but they are generally consistent with the undergraduate majors set by the Ministry of Education. It should be noted that the fresh graduates of ordinary junior college students can only choose the undergraduate major corresponding to the major they studied in the junior college stage, that is to say, unlike the ordinary college entrance examination, undergraduate students in ordinary colleges must be professionally matched when applying for the major. In addition, there are certain restrictions on the choice of institutions. Usually, you can only apply for colleges and universities with relevant counterparts in the province, and you are not allowed to apply for examinations across provinces. As far as examination subjects are concerned, the situation varies from province to province, but there are usually three examination subjects (liberal arts/English/art: college English, college Chinese, college computer; Science: college English, advanced mathematics, college computer), and art majors can increase their undergraduate majors according to the regulations of the school.
The college entrance examination majors of specific schools in specific provinces are different every year. Graduates who intend to apply for the college entrance examination can pay attention to and inquire about the college entrance examination institutions and professional settings of ordinary colleges and universities announced in advance on the websites of educational institutions (Education Examinations Institute and Provincial Education Department) in their provinces.
The general college entrance examination policy in each province is slightly different, which is mainly based on the policies published by the provincial education examination institutes or education departments in that year.
Third, the plan arrangement
When arranging the enrollment plan, undergraduate colleges and universities should, in principle, determine the enrollment category and the corresponding professional requirements in higher vocational education according to the corresponding relationship in the comparison table of professional categories of colleges and universities in XX province in 20XX. If there are some professional needs, the scope of corresponding higher vocational majors can be appropriately narrowed according to the actual situation after approval.
The enrollment plan of ordinary colleges and universities is included in the overall enrollment plan of each school in that year. In case of insufficient qualified students, the remaining plans can be transferred to the national unified examination (general college entrance examination) plan for enrollment in ordinary colleges and universities.
Fourth, the examination time
Ordinary college graduates are generally ordinary full-time college graduates, who take the examination in the second semester of junior college (the examination time in different provinces is determined by the current policies formulated by the provincial education examination institutes).
