Heyang Middle School was founded in 19 16. The feudal monarchy has just ended and the democratic revolution and new culture movement have just begun. It is the earliest county middle school in our province. Mr. Dang Qingfan, Vice Chairman of the Second and Third Committees of the Shaanxi Provincial Political Consultative Conference, a representative of the Third People's Congress of Shaanxi Province, and a well-known patriotic Democrat, founded this school with 2000 silver dollars invested by the county government at that time, which was to start with enlightenment and improve the cultural quality of the people. Heyang Middle School was inscribed by Mr. Yu Youren, a modern calligrapher in China. At the beginning of the school, a large number of famous teachers, such as Swedish pastor Shan Yiren, "Left Alliance" writer Yan Lu, chemist Ji Wushao, mathematician Dangxiufu, linguist Yang Chunlin, painter Fu Shibo, linguist Du Songtao, came to the school to teach successively, which trained a large number of outstanding talents for the earliest county middle schools in the province.

Heyang Middle School has a glorious revolutionary tradition. As early as August 1927, the school set up a party branch group to spread revolutionary ideas and became the cradle of Weibei Party by setting up a "reclamation bookstore" and a "reading club". During the period of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the teachers and students of the school organized the Anti-Japanese Theater to publicize the national salvation movement, and set up the Anti-Japanese Federation of students along the Yangtze River to train cadres for the Anti-Japanese War. Under the leadership of the party, they launched student movements many times to oppose the autocratic rule of the Kuomintang. During the democratic revolution, many students in this school embarked on the revolutionary road under the influence of the idea of democratic progress. A group of martyrs, such as Ji Xian, the first student teacher, Grade 37 students, Grade 37 students, and Grade 3 1 students, made glorious sacrifices for the cause of people's liberation. After liberation, Heyang Middle School entered a period of vigorous development. Campus construction, teaching staff and teaching equipment have been greatly improved, and the teaching quality is improving day by day. A number of national construction talents have been trained, such as poet Wang Zhiyuan, military writer Li Binkui, master of traditional Chinese painting He Rongmin, composer Yan Huichang and aerospace expert Lei Fanpei. The school has been rated as advanced school of patriotic education in Weinan City, experimental school of modern technology in Weinan City, and provincial excellent test center. Over the past 90 years, more than 40,000 students have moved from Heyang Middle School to all corners of the country, even overseas. They silently contributed their knowledge and strength to the prosperity of the country in their respective posts.
