Geographical science, also known as earth science, is a discipline that studies various natural and human phenomena and their relationships in the geographical environment on the earth's surface. It is one of the six natural disciplines.
The so-called six natural disciplines include mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy and earth science. Natural science is a science that studies organic or inorganic things and phenomena in nature in a quantitative way. Its subjects are mainly agronomy, medicine, engineering and science.
When it comes to natural science, we must mention the corresponding humanities and social sciences. It is generally believed that humanities and social sciences include humanities and social sciences. Humanities refers to the study of the existence of human society. Humanistic science takes human spiritual world and its precipitated spiritual culture as the object, while social science takes human society as the research object, aiming at revealing the essence and development law of human society. Its subjects include literature, philosophy, history, law, education, sociology, art and so on.
It can be seen that geography, like mathematics and physics, is a subject that studies objective things in a quantitative way, rather than paying attention to human activities like history and literature. Geography belongs to science, whether it is the research object or the research method.
