On how to improve junior high school students' attention in math class
First of all, step into the first-grade classroom and observe the phenomenon of students attending classes.

Every time I walk into the classroom, I face more than 60 children from different families with different personalities who have just entered the primary school stage. Teachers need to be patient with their lively and talkative habits. Sometimes in class, some students whisper while playing with pieces of paper. When they saw the teacher, they looked blank and left the classroom. When the teacher asks other students to answer questions, students who don't pay attention will whisper in the bottom and say something irrelevant to the topic. Some students are impatient. Before the students finished, they jumped and shouted, raised their hands and expressed their views loudly. In order to make the children hear more clearly, the teacher had to speak at the top of his voice. A few days later, the teacher's voice was seriously damaged, and some teachers bought their own small speakers ... and the teaching effect was not good.

Second, walk into colleagues' offices and explore the reasons.

The above phenomenon is universal, and teachers begin to explore the reasons for freshmen's poor listening. Through the usual observation and investigation, it is found that there are four reasons: First, the class size is too large, and the teacher's attention area is limited, which is easy to cause interaction between students, especially if the child makes a slight sound, which will affect the effect of his listening, and his attention will be easily dispersed to other students. Second, because children don't like to attend classes: junior students are little babies at home because they are young, and they are loved by adults at home. They are still immersed in the feeling of being cared for and loved, and don't know how to listen to others, so they want to interrupt when they see other students talking. Now their attention is only on what they are interested in. Thirdly, because of my young age and poor self-control, I haven't acquired listening skills and ability, and good study habits are still in the process of forming, waiting for teachers to come up with good teaching methods that can attract their attention. Fourth, personality differences lead to different learning styles of children in the classroom.

Third, listen to the analysis of peers and discuss countermeasures.

Teachers are familiar with it, and how students in the lower grades of primary school learn depends on their concentration or not. Therefore, maintaining good attention is the basic condition for the brain to carry out cognitive activities such as perception, memory and thinking. Attention is not only the gateway to our hearts, but also the only gateway, which is the primary measure to improve the quality of classroom teaching.

If students are distracted and absent-minded, it will be difficult to concentrate on learning the object, and there will be a phenomenon of turning a blind eye, listening but not listening, and they will not be able to perceive and understand the teaching materials well. Therefore, in the teaching process, we should adopt various effective methods to cultivate students' attention and strive to improve classroom teaching efficiency.

1. From "after class" to "in class", pay attention to the preparation before class.

At the beginning of each class, students' attention can easily stay on the content of the last class or the entertainment interest between classes. Whether we can introduce "in class" from "after class" and divert students' attention largely determines the effect of this class. Therefore, in order to guide students to pay attention to teaching activities, it is necessary to carry out some interesting activities in combination with their hobbies. For example, sing a song together, or tell an interesting story, so that they can concentrate on this class and listen to the teacher attentively.

2. Create a scene with multimedia.

For junior students, colorful multimedia images are their favorite. For example, when teaching the text "Two Lions", I put an animation about two lions, and asked the students to tell what they saw. Student Kan Kan not only talked about the contents on the screen, but also had many opinions and ideas of his own. In addition, teachers can also play beautiful music and vivid stories, tell interesting riddles or brain teasers to attract students, so that students can quickly calm down their excitement after class and quickly enter the classroom atmosphere.

Fourth, seize the effective recess time for teaching.

1. The reform of traditional teaching mode.

The traditional classroom teaching mode is: teachers teach and students listen, but the disadvantage is that students lack the initiative to participate in the classroom. The teacher gave a hard lecture, and the students probably played a lesson at the bottom. Although teachers will also ask questions in class for students to answer, this kind of answer is only the participation of some students, and those students who are not focused enough are likely to be outside the classroom.

In the new curriculum, it is required to reflect students' dominant position, let students actively participate in the classroom, learn to think independently, and be willing to express their views and feelings. Especially in Chinese class, there are few so-called standard answers. As long as your answers are reasonable and your ideas are clearly expressed, you should be encouraged. Students at this stage are very concerned about getting the teacher's affirmation. Once teachers sincerely encourage and praise them, students will definitely be willing to raise their hands and speak actively. Students are unwilling to think, often because they are afraid of teachers' negation and criticism.

2. Give play to teachers' personal charm.

At school, students can always say that they like Mr. XXX and listen to his lectures, but they don't like Mr. XXX and his or her lectures. The main reason for this phenomenon is determined by the personal charm and influence of teachers. Whether students can win their love is not only the teacher's personal reasons, but also the teacher's knowledge, personality, ability and moral cultivation. First, teachers should pay attention to their own language. Secondly, they should have extensive knowledge. Finally, they should have their own personality. The words and deeds of primary school teachers will definitely affect the growth of students. Therefore, teachers should consciously improve themselves in all aspects, be role models in children's hearts, and let teaching go smoothly.

3. Properly adjust students' distraction.

Because the time for junior students to pay attention intentionally is only 10- 15 minutes, when the teaching content is in the same state for a long time, there will be a phenomenon of collective distraction. At this time, it is not enough to rely only on the teacher's individual reminder and attention. Students' study has always lacked stimulation, and they need something new to stimulate their senses. Classroom practice is a short-time and easy-to-learn activity. Although simple, it gives students a chance to relax. Besides classroom exercises, simple games or learning to sing songs related to the text are all good ways to adjust students' attention.

In short, it is difficult to keep the attention of junior students at all times, but teachers should always think about how to make the best use of students' limited attention time, make full use of students' intentional attention and unintentional attention, and improve the quality of classroom teaching.
