School of Mathematics and Computer Science

The School of Mathematics and Computer Science has 30 faculty members 130, including 39 professors, 35 associate professors, 42 doctoral supervisors 19, 2 national experts with outstanding contributions, distinguished professor 1 national Changjiang scholar, 2 school xiaoxiang scholar distinguished professor and 29 teachers with doctoral degrees. The college has six undergraduate majors: mathematics and applied mathematics, computer science and technology, information and computing science, statistics, e-commerce and software engineering. Master's and doctor's degree authorization points in mathematics (including five master's and doctor's degree authorization points in basic mathematics, computational mathematics, probability theory and mathematical statistics, applied mathematics, operational research and cybernetics) and master's degree authorization points in computer (including three master's degree authorization points in computer software and theory, computer application technology and computer architecture); There are also three master's degree points (directions) in statistics, mathematics teaching theory and information technology teaching theory; There are post-doctoral mobile stations in mathematics. At present, there are 0/554 undergraduate students, 292 master students and 24 doctoral students. There are national "2 1 1" key construction projects 1, provincial-level key disciplines 1, and school-level key disciplines 1, undertaking "863" project, "973" sub-project, national natural science foundation project, and provincial-level key disciplines. The college won 2 first prizes at provincial and ministerial level, 3 second prizes, 3 third prizes 1 and 2 national patent inventions.

The admission rate of this college for postgraduate entrance examination was 24% in 2003 and reached 25% in 2004. A considerable proportion of students passed the examination and were sent to Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua, Peking University, Nankai and other scientific research institutes and universities. Graduates can master the basic theories and research methods of mathematics and applied mathematics, skillfully use computers, form good scientific literacy, and have the basic ability to engage in mathematics research, teaching and practical application.

Statistical professionals

Four-year undergraduate program. It mainly offers compulsory courses such as mathematical foundation, probability theory, mathematical statistics, operational research, computer foundation, applied stochastic process, macroeconomics, national statistical economics, multivariate statistical analysis, sampling survey, nonparametric statistics, statistical prediction and decision-making, risk management, etc., as well as elective courses needed in application. Graduates have a good knowledge of mathematics and economics, master the basic theories and methods of statistics, can skillfully use computers to analyze data, and can engage in statistical investigation, statistical information management, quantitative analysis and development, application and management in enterprises, institutions and economic management departments, or engage in research work in scientific research and education departments.

Information and computing science

Four-year undergraduate program. It mainly offers courses such as mathematical analysis, linear algebra, physics, probability statistics, calculation method, computer foundation, programming language, information theory foundation, computer principle, data structure, operating system, C and C++ (object-oriented visualization), database principle and application, management information system, digital signal processing, information and coding, numerical algebra, information and economy. Computer science and technology
