0.4 ÷ 2 = 0.2 (hectare) (how many hectares are irrigated by a water pump in one hour)

Answer: 1 pump can irrigate 0.2 hectares per hour.

Answer 2: 1.2 ÷ 2 = 0.6 (hectares) (how many hectares are irrigated by a water pump in two hours)

0.6 ÷ 3 = 0.2 (hectare) (how many hectares are irrigated by a water pump in one hour)

Answer: 1 pump can irrigate 0.2 hectares per hour.
