What are the methods of Chinese medicine for treating fever?
I believe that almost everyone has experienced a fever and a cold. The feeling of stuffy nose, headache and dizziness is really painful, especially when you have a fever. People used to use intravenous drip to treat fever, but now it is not allowed because of the popularity of antibiotics. So is there any Chinese medicine for treating fever?

1, TCM treatment of fever

I'm afraid everyone has a fever. There are many ways to treat fever in traditional Chinese medicine, but if you choose the wrong one, it will not only cure the disease, but often backfire.

Sweating and antipyretic method. This is the most common method to reduce fever, which is suitable for patients with cold and fever. Common fever and aversion to cold occur at the same time, and there is no sweat or poor sweating. Due to the difference of pathogenic factors and patients' physique, it can be divided into two categories: wind-heat cold and wind-cold cold cold.

Wind-heat cold is characterized by obvious fever, high body temperature, sweating all over, headache, thirst, sore throat and other symptoms. By sweating to eliminate pathogenic factors, the pathogenic heat is dispersed and reduced, so as to achieve the effect of reducing fever. Wind-cold common cold is characterized by mild fever, obvious aversion to cold, generally no sweating, headache, limb pain, stuffy nose and runny nose, thirst, sore throat and tight pulse. It can be used to treat cold, sweating and fever, and it can be treated with Jiuwei Qianghuo Pill and Ganmao Qingre Granule. At the same time, we can also reduce the fever by drinking more hot water, covering ourselves with quilts, taking a sauna and soaking our feet in hot water. But you should pay attention to keep warm in the sauna and don't be blown by the wind. When you have a fever, the pores of your skin are blocked. Scraping can open pores and cause diarrhea, and the pathogens inside can be excreted, and it also has the effect of reducing fever.

Heat-induced cold method. Cold drugs can be used to reduce fever. This method is mainly suitable for patients with fever but not aversion to cold. If you see the "four major" symptoms, that is, persistent high fever (excessive fever), excessive sweating (excessive sweating), thirst like to drink cold drinks (severe thirst), and heavy pulse (large pulse), it is the card that heat toxin is flooding and damaging body fluids. At this time, you can't use sweating to reduce fever, but use sweet cold to reduce fever, which can be treated with Baihu decoction. If you see symptoms such as persistent high fever, irritability, dry mouth and throat, dry stool, yellow urine, red tongue with yellow coating and strong pulse, it is a syndrome of excessive heat toxicity. When you use bitter cold to clear away heat, you can use Sanhuang tablets for treatment. You can also drink some cold drinks in your life, but because drugs and drinks are cold and easy to hurt your spleen and stomach, enough is enough. If the body temperature is above 38 degrees Celsius, physical cooling can also be used. You can put ice cubes on your forehead, armpits and other parts or use alcohol to wipe the bath to reduce the fever. In addition, you can also press Fengchi point or Quchi point 10 minute to achieve the effect of sweating and reducing fever.

Clearing fu-organs and releasing heat. Also known as "the method of drawing wages from the bottom of the pot", it is to use bitter and cold laxatives to achieve the purpose of reducing fever. This method is mainly suitable for patients with high fever and constipation. Even patients have symptoms such as gibberish, yellow and rough tongue coating and tingling. At this time, we should use both heat-clearing drugs and laxative drugs. After the stool is discharged, the fever will drop. This is the function of dredging stool and purging heat, so that pathogenic heat can be removed from bottom to top, and the purpose of reducing fever can be achieved. Clinically, Fangfeng Tongsheng Pill can be used for treatment. You can also eat watermelon or food that is easy to have diarrhea, but be careful not to have excessive diarrhea. In addition, massage Shu Tian, Dachangshu, Daheng, Neiting and other acupoints can also play the role of clearing fu-organs and relieving summer heat.

Nourishing yin and clearing heat. That is to say, yin-nourishing drugs are used to treat yin deficiency and fever. Mainly suitable for chest fever, fever of hands and feet caused by yin deficiency, accompanied by symptoms such as irritability and discomfort, night sweat, etc. It is more common in people with thin bodies, and it is also common in patients with chronic wasting diseases such as tuberculosis and tumors. At this time, it is not appropriate to apply the above methods, but should nourish yin and clear heat, and can be treated with Baizhi Dihuang Pill or Dabuyin Pill. You can also massage acupoints such as Zhao Hai, Taixi, Yongquan and Sanyinjiao, and eat more fresh lotus roots, water chestnuts and pears.

2. Precautions for fever diet

1, add water

Water is better than medicine, and you sweat more when you are hot. Need to be replenished with warm water frequently. Children with fever should drink boiled water, which can be properly fed to supplement the body's vitamin C and enhance their disease resistance. Keep your lips moist with water, not too much.

2. Liquid diet

Children with fever mainly eat liquid foods, such as milk, lotus root starch and milk (less oil). You can also drink mung bean soup and iced watermelon to help cool down, diuresis and disease resistance.

When children's body temperature drops and their appetite improves, they can be fed semi-liquid foods, such as minced meat porridge, noodles, porridge, egg porridge and some digestible fish (black fish). Diet should be light and easy to digest, less oil and less salt, a small amount of meals, to avoid spicy and irritating food. But you don't have to avoid eating in case of malnutrition and decreased resistance.

Step 3 get sugar and salt water

Children with fever and diarrhea can take it many times. Get sugar and salt water. Mix 500 ml of water with a spoonful of sugar and half a bottle of salt. Four hours, 500 ml. At the same time, it can supplement electrolyte foods, such as oranges, bananas and other fruits (more potassium and sodium), milk, soybean milk (containing calcium), rice soup and pasta (containing zinc). If the symptoms are severe, temporarily fast and give "intravenous drip" to supplement water and electrolyte. Liquid food such as rice soup, filtered vegetable juice and lotus root starch. It can be eaten after diarrhea and vomiting are relieved, but milk and soybean milk should be fasted (easy to produce gas).

5, pay attention to indoor ventilation

Open the window for air, keep the air fresh, and keep the room temperature at about 25℃. You can also put your baby in an air-conditioned room, or blow it around with an electric fan to gradually lower your body temperature. If the child's limbs are cold and shivering, cover the child with a blanket and wash his hands and feet with hot water. If your hands and feet are hot and sweaty, you can take off too many clothes.

6. Pay attention to the baby's bed rest

Give light, digestible and nutritious food, such as milk, rice porridge and vegetable soup, eat more fruits and drink more water.

7. Take good care of your mouth and skin.

When high fever, saliva secretion decreases and oral mucosa is dry. At this time, food residues in the mouth are easy to ferment, which is conducive to bacterial reproduction and may cause glossitis and gingivitis. To clean your mouth in time, it is best to rinse your mouth with light salt water after every meal. You will sweat a lot when you have a high fever. Take good care of your skin, dry your sweat in time, change clothes, wipe your skin with a warm towel and keep it clean and dry.

8. Symptomatic treatment

Children with a fever above 37.5℃ can wipe the whole body with a warm towel until the skin is red, which makes the blood vessels of the skin dilate to facilitate heat dissipation. If their high fever persists, their body temperature exceeds 39℃, and they are healthy, and there is no obvious cardiovascular failure, they can put cold water bags on their foreheads, armpits, groins and nests to facilitate cooling.
