International English Language Testing System
IELTS: The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is jointly organized by the Examination Committee of Cambridge University, the British Consulate and the Australian International Development Program (IDP).
There are two kinds of IELTS, academic and general training. At present, academic IELTS is more suitable for studying abroad.
The written test of IELTS is 2 hours and 30 minutes, and the oral test is 15 minutes. The exam consists of four parts: listening, reading, speaking and writing. The total score of IELTS test is 9, and the total score is 0.25, which is the average score of four subjects. Above 0.25 is 0.5, below 0.25 is 0. Do I have to have IELTS scores to apply for graduate students in the UK?
A: No, at the initial stage of application, most institutions do not need applicants to provide IELTS scores (except for individual majors in individual institutions, such as the Business School of Manchester University and the University of Edinburgh, which require students to bring IELTS applications). The school will evaluate you according to your PS, CV and RL and give you conditional admission. The final IELTS requirement of the major will be reflected in the conditional admission notice sent to you.
Note: There is no passing standard for IELTS test, and the score depends on the requirements of the institutions and majors applying for IELTS score. There is no limit to the number of IELTS retakes.
Postgraduate management entrance examination
GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is the abbreviation of Graduate Management Entrance Examination, and its Chinese name is the full name of Graduate Management Entrance Examination. GMAT is an important evaluation report for graduate students majoring in business, economics and management in universities in the United States, Britain and Australia.
The GMAT test takes 3 hours and 30 minutes. The examination is divided into four parts: analytical writing, comprehensive reasoning, quantitative reasoning and textual logical reasoning. A: No, you can apply for a British master's program without GMAT scores, but more and more Britain has requested or strongly recommended that GMAT scores be provided when applying for related majors in our school. GRE test
GRE (Graduate Entrance Examination) is an American graduate entrance examination sponsored by ETS. The GRE test lasts about 3 hours and 45 minutes (6 periods, with rest after the third period 10 minute). The test is divided into two types: GRE general test and GRE subject test. The reformed GRE test is divided into three parts: Chinese (full score 170), mathematics (full score 170) and writing (full score 6).
Do I have to have GRE scores to apply for a master's degree in the UK?
