Formula for calculating square meters
If the floor is laid horizontally in length and width and the height is perpendicular to the ground,

Area = length× width =12×15 =180 (square centimeter)

1 m = 100 cm,

1 m2 = 10000 cm2,

A square:10000 ÷180 = 55.56 ≈ 56 (block);

If the floor is horizontal, long and high, and the width is perpendicular to the ground,

Area = length× height =12×18 = 216 (square centimeter)

A square:10000 ÷ 216 = 46.29 ≈ 47 (block);

If the floor is horizontal, wide and high, and the length is perpendicular to the ground,

Area = width× height = 15× 18=270 (square centimeter)

A square: 10000÷270=37.03≈38 (block);

If you calculate how many bricks have 1 m3,

1 brick volume = length× width× height =12×15×18 = 3240 (cubic centimeter);

1 m3 = 1000000 (cubic centimeter),

One cubic principle: 1000000÷3240=308.64≈309 (block);
