Report on the Project of "Comprehensive Mathematics Education Research"
"Comprehensive Mathematics Education Research" is a research topic approved by Jiangsu Teaching and Research Section. In September 2000, the scheme was formulated and the experimental research group was established. By May 2005, the experimental task was basically completed. Now I want to make a brief report on the progress of the experimental work:
First, promote curriculum reform and set up research topics.
The new curriculum standard puts forward that "everyone can learn valuable mathematics, everyone can get the necessary mathematics, and different people get different development in mathematics". "Valuable mathematics" not only refers to the study of relevant mathematical knowledge, but also helps students to develop sound personality and form positive values, and helps to cultivate students' emotions, attitudes and values. The most basic of "necessary mathematics" is that students discover, master and use mathematics from their familiar life background, gradually understand the relationship between learning mathematics and individuals, feel success and enhance their self-confidence.
In 2000, we put forward the "Comprehensive Mathematics Education Research" plan, established a comprehensive mathematics education concept, that is, mathematics, as a culture, has both scientific and humanistic factors, corrected the narrow education concept that mathematics education is only thinking training or even problem-solving training, and enabled students to receive comprehensive mathematics education that combines scientific education and humanistic education. Pay attention to the generation process of mathematical knowledge, the development of students' ability and personality, and the close relationship between mathematical learning and production and life.
The research of this topic provides intellectual resources for curriculum reform.

When training teachers, we should not only pay attention to the training of general skills, but more importantly, make teachers establish a comprehensive view of mathematics, that is, mathematics, as a culture, has both its scientific and humanistic factors. Correct the narrow teaching view that mathematics education is only regarded as logical thinking training or even problem-solving training. In teaching and scientific research, there should be not only regular public lectures and evaluation activities, but also in-depth exchanges and ideological collisions. In fact, many differences in education and teaching are ultimately differences in understanding. Raise awareness by defining themes and organizing teachers' discussions.
At the same time, President Wei Bofu organized a survey about what kind of classroom students need. At the beginning of each academic year, the research group draws up a special reference catalogue according to the topics, and each teacher chooses a topic, which is sorted out by the research group to facilitate teachers' exchange and combination. Every teacher has his own research topic, so he sets a goal for himself, and everyone implements it around the general topic.

In order to carry out research smoothly and ensure the quality of research, theoretical guidance is essential. Teachers not only actively consult materials, but also invite experts, scholars and special-grade teachers to teach for teachers, which has a strong theoretical basis for research.
The research group holds regular meetings to understand the progress and disseminate information, guide and help teachers, and adjust or modify the specific content of the research. Teachers usually carry out education and teaching around special topics, collect information and practice summary. Weekly teaching and research activities, fixed time, fixed place, or large groups, or groups, timely exchange of experimental information, grasp the direction. Let teachers with similar research topics communicate, discuss gains and losses and study the next step.
In order to push the experimental research deeper, each teaching and research group should take top-quality courses, and each group should carefully consider the design of top-quality courses, organically combine personal ideas with large-scale teaching and research, and reflect and comment after class. Teachers have gone through repeated defense, and the experience summary is becoming more and more mature, which makes the experimental research truly achieve everyone's topic and everyone's research, and forms a research pattern in which large group research, group research, classroom research, salon research, network research and other forms coexist.
4. Based on the classroom, implement a comprehensive concept of mathematics education.
The study of this topic can not be separated from classroom teaching. Every teacher has to attend 1-2 teaching and research class every semester, every teaching and research group has to attend 4-5 expert guidance classes every semester, every young teacher has to attend an exchange report class every semester, and the teaching and research team leader has to attend a demonstration class every semester ... Through classroom teaching practice and under the guidance of advanced theories, experimental research is carried out in a down-to-earth manner.

The development of students can reflect the development of subject research. Every teacher in our school takes an active part in practice and research. In the open classroom teaching environment, students can understand the history of mathematics development, feel the beauty and dialectical methods in mathematics, enhance their feelings for mathematics, infiltrate mathematical thoughts and develop mathematical thinking. Students' diaries of mathematical experience, mathematical fairy tales and sparks of thinking have all been compiled into books. In 2005, a special issue of "We Love Mathematics-Dongguan Primary School" was published in the summer bound volume of "Mathematics for Primary School Students". Students develop in experiments.
With the development of experimental research, teachers' teaching concept has been changed, mathematics thoughts and culture have been infiltrated in teaching, the foundation and instrumentality of mathematics have been highlighted, and students have been evaluated comprehensively. Our school has completed the open problem sets of all grades, and more than a dozen teachers have participated in the compilation of the "Guide Book for Primary School Mathematics" published by Jiangsu Education Publishing House. The school-based textbook "Mathematical Wisdom" has also been published, in which mathematical culture is compiled as a section, which is accumulated by teachers in their usual practice. Some achievements of teachers in the experimental research of the subject, such as Teaching Design Collection, Teaching Case Collection and Teaching Essays Collection, have been compiled into books. During the implementation of the experiment, many teachers' papers won the first prize in the essay competition of "Teaching the Sea and Exploring Navigation". Published many articles in provincial, municipal and district-level journals; Teacher Fang Zhiwei won the first prize of "Yangzhou Young Teachers Basic Skills Competition"; Teacher Gao Fengling won the first prize of "One Hundred Good Classes in Yangzhou"; In every "flower class" competition in Guangling District, many teachers won the first prize ... The rapid growth of teachers benefited from the research of the subject, which effectively promoted the in-depth development of the experiment.
The comprehensive research of mathematics education is a systematic project. Our research has achieved initial results, but it is not deep enough. We will continue to practice and explore in the future research.
