3. Introduction of Zhejiang University

Zhejiang University, referred to as "Zhejiang University" for short, is a university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC) and a vice-ministerial level directly under the central government, ranking among the first batch of "world-class universities and first-class disciplines", "21/project" and "985 project". The school was formerly Qiushi College, which was founded in 1897 and named as National Zhejiang University in 1928. 1937 Zhejiang university moved westward, running schools in Zunyi and Meitan, Guizhou, and 1946 moved back to Hangzhou in the autumn. From 65438 to 0952, some departments of Zhejiang University were placed under the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other universities, and the main part was reorganized into several universities in Hangzhou, which later developed into the original Zhejiang University, Hangzhou University, Zhejiang Agricultural University and Zhejiang Medical University. 1998, four universities with the same roots merged to form the new Zhejiang University.
