At present, the employment gap of seafarers in Guigang is large, and shipping companies generally feel that it is difficult to find employment, which has formed an imbalance between supply and demand. Although shipping is still sluggish at present, inland river vessels can often dock and will not drift at sea for a long time. In addition, inland river crew members have no academic requirements and do not need to learn foreign languages. They only need to reach the age, pass the physical examination, participate in training, and pass the exam to get the certificate of competency, with lower threshold requirements. In contrast, the inland river crew also has certain attraction.
