1, school introduction

In order to further promote Soochow University's "Education and Training Plan for Outstanding Humanities Scholars", Soochow University Tang Academy was established.

The college will be named after the famous educator Mr. Tang, establish a brand-new research-oriented teaching mode, explore the organic combination of undergraduate education and postgraduate education, embody the basic spirit of the modern university system, highlight the characteristics of democratic running, awe of academics, learning from each other's strengths and self-development, and implement interdisciplinary teaching methods with the goal of cultivating compound and academic high-end liberal arts talents.

2. Supporting facilities

Sandwich College has its own fixed classroom, conference room, academic salon, overseas visiting professor research room and "sandwich reading corner" and other places.

Students in Wenzhi College can not only borrow books from the school library, but also borrow books from the College of Arts, the School of Social Studies and the School of Politics and Public Administration for free. The "Wenzhi Reading Corner" is also specially equipped with a large number of books for college students, especially the required books of classics and historical subsets, which can fully meet the learning needs of students.

3. Teaching characteristics

Wenzhi College adopts the mode of joint teaching by professors, and hires first-class teachers of literature, history and philosophy to teach college students with high salaries. It is characterized by small class teaching, small class discussion and no communication between teachers and students.

In addition, the college hired well-known professors at home and abroad to host permanent lecture courses, and many foreign professors personally taught students in the college.
