1 Article 6 of the Lawyers Law stipulates that "the state practices a national unified examination system for lawyers' qualifications. 2. Article 7 of the Lawyers Law stipulates that "those who have a bachelor's degree or above in law in institutions of higher learning, are engaged in legal research, teaching and other professional work, and have senior professional titles or the same professional level apply for practicing as lawyers, and are approved by the judicial administrative department of the State Council in accordance with the prescribed conditions to obtain the qualification of lawyers.

In any of the following circumstances, the lawyer qualification shall not be granted:

(1) Those who have been subjected to criminal punishment, except for negligent crimes.

(2) Being expelled from public office or having his lawyer's practice license revoked.

(3) Having no or limited capacity for civil conduct.

(4) Forging the certification materials to apply for the examination and grant the qualification as a lawyer.

(5) Others who are not suitable for practicing as lawyers.
