China's aid medical team to Africa still exists. According to the latest news, in 2023-2024, the training of China (Shanxi) medical aid team before going abroad has begun. The medical team consists of 45 members from Shanxi Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shanxi Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, Shanxi Comprehensive Service Center of Medical and Health Institutions, Taiyuan Central Hospital, Taiyuan Fourth People's Hospital, Yuncheng Central Hospital, Jincheng People's Hospital, Yangquan First People's Hospital and other units. Their medical fields include Chinese medicine, dentistry, orthopedics, urology, anesthesiology, general surgery, cardiovascular, ophthalmology, medical imaging and so on. The existence and actions of these medical teams reflect China's medical assistance and cooperation with African countries.
