What is the process of cold chain logistics transportation?
I don't know much about cold chain logistics either. Here is a related article, I hope it will help.

Introduction:

Cold chain logistics, a technical term of logistics industry, was unknown a few years ago. However, in recent years, with the rapid development of cold chain logistics industry due to market demand, various professional and non-professional media have exposed this concept, and cold chain logistics has received unprecedented attention both in the market and academically. On the one hand, the driving force for the rapid development of cold chain logistics industry comes from the growing total demand for temperature-controlled goods in the consumer market, on the other hand, it comes from the increasing demand for commodity quality in the consumer market, which leads to some non-temperature-controlled goods entering the ranks of temperature-controlled goods.

For enterprises and individuals in China's cold chain logistics industry, the development of the industry has brought unprecedented opportunities. Faced with the rapid growth of demand, cold chain enterprises and individuals are gearing up and vowed to develop and upgrade themselves in this emerging logistics industry, but at the same time they are at a loss and worried because they have no in-depth understanding of this emerging industry and no development experience to learn from. Opportunities and challenges coexist, so China cold chain logistics enterprises have to learn from foreign advanced experience, cross the river by feeling the stones, develop while advancing, and improve while learning.

Cold chain logistics is a huge and complex system, involving many fields, including: cold chain transportation, cold chain storage, cold chain packaging and so on. This paper will focus on the highway cold chain transportation in cold chain transportation. The purposes are as follows: firstly, there are few research results and existing experience about highway cold chain transportation at present, so enterprises and individuals are very confused and many problems have no reference. Secondly, as far as the current situation of cold chain transportation in China is concerned, although the turnover of road cold chain transportation is smaller than that of railway cold chain transportation. However, referring to the development history of foreign countries, due to the advantages that other cold chain transportation modes do not have, highway cold chain transportation will inevitably occupy an important position in the future development and will develop rapidly.

For highway cold chain transportation enterprises and individuals, they hope to provide customers with high-quality and efficient transportation services. In the process of highway cold chain transportation, we must face a series of challenges. Among them, safety and timeliness are the most important. How to ensure the safety and timeliness of highway cold chain transportation has become a key issue for success. What factors affect safety and timeliness? We will analyze these factors one by one, and use the actual case of Volvo truck customers to illustrate how Volvo truck company, as a commercial transportation solution provider, is committed to improving transportation safety and timeliness with road cold chain transporters and providing high-quality and efficient road cold chain transportation services for end customers.

First, the demand and current development level of China's cold chain logistics

The commodities involved in cold chain logistics are mainly divided into: meat products, frozen foods, cold drinks, fruits and vegetables, dairy products, fresh foods, medical injections and so on. As a big agricultural country, China is rich in cold chain transportation resources. At the same time, as the most populous country in the world, there is a huge potential demand in the cold chain logistics market. The following series of statistics fully illustrate the huge demand of cold chain logistics market in China.

Meat products: China ranks first in the world in all kinds of meat production. In 2005, the national total meat output was 77.43 million tons, accounting for 29% of the world total. Among them, the output of pork is 5065438+ ten thousand tons, accounting for 49% of the world's total output.

Cold drinks: in 2007, the production and sales volume of cold drinks nationwide was 2.56 million tons, up by12% year-on-year; Achieve sales of 30.8 billion yuan. The scale of the cold drink market is constantly expanding, and the seasonality gradually disappears. However, compared with developed countries, the per capita consumption of cold drinks in China is still very low and has great development potential.

Quick-frozen food: China's quick-frozen food has been developing at an annual rate of 20% since 1995, and it has expanded extremely at an annual rate of 35% in the last three years, much higher than the global growth rate of 9%. At present, there are more than 2,000 quick-frozen food factories in China, with annual output exceeding100000 tons and sales exceeding1000000 yuan.

Fruits and vegetables: China is the largest producer of fruits and vegetables in the world. In 2006, the national fruit output reached 97 million tons, and the vegetable output reached 560 million tons.

Dairy products: In 2006, the total output of dairy products in China reached 32.9 million tons, with the annual growth rate exceeding 12%, ranking first in the world.

However, facing the huge demand of China's cold chain logistics market, what is the current development level of China's cold chain logistics? Similarly, through a set of statistical data, we can get a glimpse of the current development level of cold chain logistics in China from several aspects.

It is estimated that the loss rate of fruits and vegetables in China's circulation is as high as 25-30%, while the loss rate of fruits and vegetables in developed countries is generally controlled below 5%.

At present, about 90% of meat, 80% of aquatic products, a large number of milk and bean products in China are basically sold without cold chain guarantee.

China's cold chain transportation rate is 10-20%, while developed countries such as Europe, America and Japan reach 80-90%.

Of the 338,000 tons of railway vehicles operating in China, refrigerated trucks only account for about 2%, with less than 7,000 vehicles. Cold chain traffic only accounts for 25% of perishable goods traffic, less than 1% of total railway freight traffic.

The proportion of cold chain transport vehicles in trucks in China is only about 0.3%, while in the United States it is 0.8% ~ 1%, in Britain it is 2.5% ~ 2.8%, and in Germany it is 2% ~ 3%.

The huge demand for cold chain logistics and the low level of cold chain logistics have become a pair of contradictions. At present, the level of cold chain logistics in China is far from meeting the market demand. What is the main problem that causes this contradiction? To sum up, the following problems have seriously affected the development of cold chain logistics in China, resulting in the contradiction between huge demand and insufficient supply.

1) lacks an independent and complete cold chain logistics system.

2) Lack of unified and clear cold chain logistics standards

3) Lack of in-depth research and experience in cold chain logistics.

4) Lack of professional cold chain logistics talents

5) Lack of advanced cold chain logistics technology and equipment.

6) Lack of advanced cold chain logistics infrastructure

7) Lack of large-scale third-party cold chain logistics enterprises

Second, the unique advantages and important position of highway cold chain transportation

Cold chain logistics is a huge and complex system, involving many fields, including: cold chain transportation, cold chain storage, cold chain packaging and so on. Among them, cold chain transportation includes: road cold chain transportation, railway cold chain transportation, aviation cold chain transportation, waterway cold chain transportation and so on. These cold chain transportation modes have different operating characteristics, different market scales and different development prospects, and they form a complementary and competitive relationship. Their complementarity is reflected in the intermodal transport modes, such as: public railway cold chain transport, public aviation cold chain transport, high seas cold chain transport and so on. However, the competitive relationship between them is also obvious. For example, there is great competition between highway cold chain transportation and other cold chain transportation modes, and there is a growing trend. The rapid development of highway cold chain transportation in competition and the gradual increase of market share are inseparable from the unique advantages of highway cold chain transportation compared with other cold chain transportation modes. The unique advantages of highway cold chain transportation are mainly reflected in:

Whole-process integrated service: Road cold chain transportation implements door-to-door one-stop service with few intermediate links. On the one hand, it can reduce the probability of cold chain goods exposed to non-temperature control environment, reduce the loss caused by cargo transshipment and improve the safety of goods. On the other hand, the reduction of intermediate links can improve transportation efficiency, shorten transportation time and ensure the punctuality of cold chain goods distribution.

Wider network coverage: compared with railways and aviation, expressway network coverage is larger, and theoretically it can reach every corner. This provides objective conditions for door-to-door service of highway cold chain transportation.

High safety and timeliness: compared with railway cold chain transportation and aviation cold chain transportation, highway cold chain transportation has fewer intermediate links, strong controllability and little influence from uncontrollable factors such as weather and administration. This makes the safety and timeliness of highway cold chain transportation higher.

Stable service quality: Compared with railway cold chain transportation and aviation cold chain transportation, highway cold chain transportation has sufficient capacity, is less affected by off-season, and its capacity guarantee is relatively reliable.

Low price: the price of road cold chain transportation is obviously lower than that of air cold chain transportation, and even has a certain competitive advantage in total price compared with railway cold chain transportation.

The unique advantages of highway cold chain transportation determine its important position in the whole cold chain transportation market. The rapid development of highway cold chain transportation will promote the rapid development of the whole cold chain transportation market, and then make great contributions to the overall development and growth of cold chain logistics in China. However, road cold chain transportation is also facing many challenges, among which, how to ensure the safety and timeliness of road cold chain transportation is the biggest challenge for all our road cold chain transportation enterprises and individuals.

Third, the biggest challenge of highway cold chain transportation: safety and timeliness

Safety and timeliness

What is the safety and timeliness of highway cold chain transportation? These two concepts are both interactive and internally unified. The so-called safety means to ensure the quality of the temperature-controlled goods from the beginning to the end of transportation, and the physical and chemical indexes of the goods meet the requirements of the corresponding standards during transportation. The so-called timeliness means that the transported temperature-controlled goods should be accurately transported to the designated destination within the specified time period. The mutual influence and internal unity of these two concepts can be illustrated by a simple example. For example:

Task: A vehicle carrying chilled pork is required to leave the cold storage in City A at XX, XX and XX, and arrive at the cold storage in City B at XX, XX and XX 20 hours later.

Suppose 1: a traffic accident occurred on the way, which caused the refrigerated semi-trailer to roll over, the refrigerated container to be damaged, and the cold and fresh pork to be scattered on the expressway.

Analysis 1: The quality of chilled meat was not maintained during transportation, and the safety was not achieved. At the same time, due to the accident, cold fresh pork could not be delivered to the designated place within the specified time, and the timeliness could not be achieved.

Assumption 2: The vehicle stops due to fault during transportation and stops for maintenance, which is 20 hours later than the original arrival time.

Analysis 2: Because the vehicle did not reach the destination within the specified time limit, it did not reach the timeliness. At the same time, due to the delay of time, the quality of chilled meat decreased, even deteriorated, and the safety could not be achieved.

Hypothesis 3: The vehicle runs normally on the way, and the intact chilled pork arrives at the designated destination at the designated time.

Analysis 3: Give consideration to both safety and timeliness.

This simple example fully illustrates the mutual influence and internal unity of security and timeliness. Once there is a problem with security, it will affect the realization of timeliness. On the contrary, there will be problems in timeliness and safety. Only when safety and timeliness are achieved at the same time and unified, can a perfect highway cold chain transportation task be completed.

Factors affecting the safety and timeliness of highway cold chain transportation

What factors will affect the safety and timeliness of highway cold chain transportation? Through the study of highway cold chain transportation, we list a series of influencing factors in the following fishbone diagram, and analyze and evaluate them one by one.

Technical performance and configuration selection of tractor

Tractor is an important equipment for highway cold chain transportation. Therefore, whether the technical performance of tractor and vehicle configuration meet the operating conditions directly affects the stability and efficiency of transportation. Only stable and efficient road cold chain transportation can achieve safety and timeliness. If you want to do a good job, you must sharpen your tools first. How to choose the tractor that best matches the operation situation becomes the primary problem.

Driving mode: According to different conditions such as cargo weight, road slope and time limit requirements, tractors need to choose different driving modes. For example, when the weight of goods is heavy, or the road slope is large and the time limit is high, more effective driving modes such as 6X2 and 6X4 should be selected.

Engine: according to different conditions such as cargo weight, road slope and time limit requirements. , need to be equipped with different power.

Speed and torque of the engine. For example, when the weight of goods is heavy, or the slope of the road surface is large, and/or the time limit is high, it is necessary to choose an engine with higher power and torque. Only in this way can we ensure the safety and high speed of the vehicle in the running process and meet the requirements of safety and timeliness. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure that vehicles have a certain reserve power and deliver cold chain goods to their destinations safely and on time to the maximum extent.

Gearbox: Choose different manual or automatic gearboxes according to different conditions such as road smoothness, route turning frequency and vehicle speed change frequency. For example, in the case of complex road conditions, automatic gearbox should be chosen, which can reduce the driver's shift operation, slow down driving fatigue and improve safety. At the same time, the automatic gearbox is easy to operate when driving, which makes the average speed of the vehicle higher and improves the timeliness.

Cab: Different cabs and internal configurations should be selected according to different conditions such as distance, driving time and number of drivers. For example, if the distance is long and the driving time is long, it is necessary to consider choosing a cab equipped with sleepers and basic living facilities. Make the driver get enough rest and basic living guarantee during the trip, so as to improve the driving quality and ensure safety. At the same time, the cab equipped with sleeping berths and basic living facilities can ensure multiple drivers to drive in shifts, improve the average speed of vehicles, and then meet the timeliness requirements.

Rear axle: different types of rear axle should be selected according to the different conditions of cargo weight and road slope. For example, when the weight of the goods is heavy, or the slope of the road surface is large, the multi-stage deceleration rear axle with pulley side deceleration should be selected, and a larger reduction ratio should be selected. This can improve the safety, increase the average speed and achieve the purpose of improving timeliness. However, when the weight of the goods is light, or the slope of the road surface is small, and or the time limit is high, the single-stage deceleration rear axle should be selected, and a smaller deceleration ratio should be selected. This can maximize the running speed and challenge the timeliness requirements.

Braking system: according to the different conditions of cargo weight and road complexity, different types and grades of braking systems should be selected. For example, when the cargo is heavy or the road surface is complex, in addition to matching the traditional brakes, more advanced auxiliary braking systems, such as trailer braking and engine exhaust braking, can be considered. This can greatly reduce the probability of accidents in vehicle operation and ensure transportation safety.

Suspension system: different types of suspension should be selected according to the weight of goods, smoothness of road surface and vulnerability of goods. For example, when the goods are light and fragile, airbags should be used to hang them. This can reduce or eliminate the loss of goods and ensure the safety of transportation. At the same time, the airbag suspension is relatively light, which can improve the speed to a higher level and realize the timeliness requirements of transportation.

Technical performance and configuration selection of refrigerated semi-trailer

Refrigerated trailer is the core equipment of highway cold chain transportation. The quality of cold chain goods is always guaranteed during transportation, and all physical and chemical indexes meet the requirements of corresponding standards, which depends entirely on the temperature control environment in the refrigerated semi-trailer. Therefore, whether the technical performance and configuration of refrigerated semi-trailer are reasonable determines whether the temperature control environment of cold chain goods is stable and effective. A stable and effective temperature control environment can best ensure the quality of cold chain goods and the safety of transportation. Set the saddle on the right horse. Whether it can be equipped with a refrigerated semi-trailer that matches the operation situation and tractor is the core factor affecting the safety and timeliness of highway cold chain transportation.

Refrigerated containers: Refrigerated containers with different loads, sizes, materials and temperature control equipment should be selected according to the types, weights, specific gravity, temperature control requirements, transportation distance, transportation time and other factors. For example, the temperature of frozen meat is controlled below-18℃, while the temperature of frozen food is controlled below -7℃, and the temperature of frozen fruits and vegetables is kept at 1- 10℃ according to different transportation distances. For different kinds of goods and temperature control requirements, it is necessary to choose refrigerated containers that match them, which not only avoids the failure of temperature control, but also avoids the deterioration or even deterioration of goods quality, which threatens transportation safety and avoids unnecessary waste. For example, the ratio of frozen meat to frozen fruits and vegetables is very different. For these two kinds of goods with different proportions, containers with different sizes should be selected, which not only avoids the decline of transportation safety and timeliness caused by overload, but also avoids unnecessary space waste.

Semi-trailer chassis: Semi-trailer chassis should match the specifications of container and tractor. The safety and timeliness of highway cold chain transportation will be reduced whether the load does not match or the size does not match.

Formulation and adjustment of transportation scheme

The formulation and adjustment of transportation scheme is a tactical factor affecting highway cold chain transportation. Compared with the technical performance and configuration selection of tractors and refrigerated semi-trailers, this factor can be regarded as a soft factor. However, without the guidance of a tailored and feasible transportation scheme, even with the best hardware equipment, it will have a huge negative impact on the safety and timeliness of highway cold chain transportation. In addition, in the case of changes in operating conditions, appropriate adjustments should be made to the established transportation plan to continuously ensure safety and timeliness.

Route selection: When selecting the driving route of highway cold chain transport vehicles, all kinds of road-related factors that affect the safety and timeliness of transportation should be fully considered. Such as: road smoothness, road slope, road turning frequency, road uphill and downhill frequency, road altitude, transportation distance, driving time and so on. For example, when there are two alternative routes, one route is far away, but the road surface smoothness is high, and the frequency of uphill and downhill is low, while the other route is close, but the road surface smoothness is low and the frequency of uphill and downhill is high. In this case, it is necessary to comprehensively consider the situation of the two lines, carry out field driving and data collection, then summarize the data, analyze and evaluate the whole, and finally choose the best running line. In the process of selection, it is necessary to avoid the decline of safety caused by ignoring or underestimating some road factors, and to avoid the decline of timeliness caused by overemphasizing safety.

Selection of suspension mode: different suspension modes can be selected according to different temperature control requirements, aging requirements or purchase funds. For example, in order to improve the timeliness to the greatest extent, we can use the way of throwing and hanging transportation to avoid waiting for vehicles when loading and unloading.

Pre-operation evaluation: Through pre-operation evaluation, design a transportation scheme based on specific lines, specific dropping and hanging methods and specific vehicles. Make plans for the next operation. At the same time, it can also provide reference for formulating various business data, performance indicators and profit indicators. Efficient pre-operation evaluation provides predictive support for the development of highway cold chain transportation projects.

Vehicle after-sales service

Vehicle after-sales service is an important factor affecting the safety and timeliness of highway cold chain transportation. A concept is introduced here: intact rate. The intact rate is the ratio of the normal running time of the vehicle to the working time of the system, which is used to measure the ability of the vehicle to work effectively. Want to have a high intact rate, we need to rely on two aspects, on the one hand, the high performance and quality of the vehicle itself, on the other hand, the high-level, efficient, professional and humanized after-sales service of the vehicle. If the performance and quality of the vehicle itself are high and the configuration is properly selected, then the after-sales service of the vehicle becomes the most important factor to determine the intact rate of the vehicle, which ultimately determines the safety and timeliness of highway cold chain transportation. Vehicle after-sales service system includes dealer network, spare parts supply, technicians, vehicle maintenance, road rescue, hotline and so on, which ultimately affect the safety and timeliness of road transportation.

Dealer network: A healthy and effective dealer network is indispensable to maintain the high intact rate of vehicles. Dealer network is the main force to provide maintenance, repair and spare parts supply for vehicles. Therefore, the distribution, quantity, scale, technical level, professional level, response speed and service quality of the dealer network all determine whether the vehicle can get excellent after-sales service. For example, if there are a large number of dealer networks, and the distribution is reasonable and the regional division is clear, the nearest dealer can send technicians and equipment to provide on-site support once the vehicle stops due to failure on the way, so as to avoid wasting time and resources caused by long-distance raids. For another example, technicians sent by dealers with high technical level and high degree of specialization can quickly and effectively eliminate vehicle failures at one time, so that vehicles can quickly resume normal operation. Provide support for ensuring the safety and timeliness of vehicles.

Technician: Technician is the key factor for the success of vehicle after-sales service. In the vehicle after-sales service system, technicians are in the core position. The maintenance level, service consciousness and professionalism of technicians all determine whether the vehicle can run normally or resume normal operation in the shortest time, and ensure the intact rate of the vehicle. For example, once the vehicle breaks down during driving, the dealer's excellent technicians will quickly support and repair the vehicle on site. High-level maintenance technology ensures that the vehicle can resume normal operation in the shortest time. Vehicles can continue to carry out transportation tasks in a sound and stable state, and finally transport cold chain goods to their destinations safely and on time.

Spare parts supply: Spare parts supply is a hard index to ensure the high intact rate of vehicles. You can't make a silk purse out of sow's ears. If spare parts are not supplied in time, the faulty parts cannot be replaced, and it is difficult to quickly restore the vehicle to normal working condition even if the technical level is high. Therefore, only timely and high-quality spare parts supply can ensure the rapid troubleshooting of vehicles and improve the intact rate of vehicles. Make the vehicle transport the cold chain goods to the destination in a safe and stable state.

Vehicle maintenance: Vehicle maintenance is an important factor to ensure the high intact rate of vehicles. Regular professional maintenance of vehicles can always keep the vehicles in good running condition, and at the same time, it can prevent major failures of vehicles and control the probability of failures to a minimum. The direct benefit of low failure rate is that it can improve the intact rate of vehicles, and then improve the timeliness of transportation. In the process of vehicle maintenance, technicians will inspect, debug and replace the active and passive safety equipment of vehicles, which effectively reduces the occurrence of vehicle traffic accidents. Even if traffic accidents occur, it can also minimize casualties, losses of goods and vehicles themselves and improve transportation safety.

Road rescue: Road rescue is an important means to ensure the high intact rate of vehicles. Once the vehicle stops due to traffic accident or technical failure, road rescue becomes the most effective and fastest solution. After receiving the road rescue notice, technicians rushed to the scene with maintenance tools and accessories that need to be replaced in time to repair the stopped vehicles. Try to get the vehicle running again, deliver the goods to the destination, and then let the vehicle go to the dealer's professional repair shop for more detailed maintenance according to the specific situation. In case of emergency, road rescue should be dispatched quickly, and all manpower and material resources should be used to deal with the vehicle urgently, so as to restore the normal operation of the vehicle or conditionally guarantee the vehicle to temporarily transport the goods to the destination, and then enter the normal maintenance procedure.

Hotline: Hotline is the starting point of after-sales service. Through the hotline, effective communication between the customer network and the dealer network has been formed. Only through hotline, a quick way, can problems such as vehicle failures be directly reflected to vehicle after-sales service personnel, so as to achieve the purpose of preventing and handling vehicle failures. Only in this way can we ensure the normal intact rate of vehicles and ensure the safety and timeliness of transportation. For example, when the vehicle has an emergency fault, the customer can activate the emergency service program as quickly as possible with the help of the hotline. When encountering technical problems or service problems, customers can communicate with relevant personnel through the hotline and get the best treatment suggestions.

Fleet management

Fleet management is a direct factor affecting the safety and timeliness of highway cold chain transportation. If a reasonable and strict fleet management system is not established and implemented resolutely and conscientiously, the safety and timeliness of highway cold chain transportation will be threatened even with advanced technical equipment, thoughtful after-sales service and perfect transportation scheme. Fleet management is an effort to improve transportation safety and timeliness in management. Its contents include: operation process management, operation performance management, driver management and training, etc.

Operation process management: Highway cold chain transportation is a complex project. Because of its temperature control requirements, there are many conditions and restrictions in the operation process. At the same time, each operation will involve different people, departments, documents, links and so on. On the one hand, the establishment of a standardized and standardized operation process is to let all personnel involved in the operation process perform their duties within their own work scope, on the other hand, it is to grasp the operation as a whole and make a good connection. There are rules to follow and rules to follow.

Operational performance management: Management of operations through performance evaluation, aiming at digitizing all aspects of operations with this measurement tool. Then evaluate the digital operation, and finally find out the problems existing in the operation process and improve them. For example, by controlling the performance index of one-way transportation time, the driver can improve the average driving speed under the condition of safety and security, and ensure the timeliness of transportation. Or, improve the driver's fuel efficiency by controlling the performance index of fuel consumption per 100 kilometers.

Driver management and training: In highway cold chain transportation, drivers are the core participants in the whole operation process. Drivers' driving skills, safety awareness and mental state directly affect the safety and timeliness of highway cold chain transportation. A small mistake of the driver may cause a major safety accident, resulting in casualties, vehicle damage, cargo damage and time delay. Therefore, it is very important to manage and train drivers. Better management and training can nip in the bud, improve the quality of drivers in all aspects, and maximize the safety and timeliness of highway cold chain transportation.

Volvo case

Background introduction:

Volvo has a cold chain transportation customer on a highway in East China, with more than 50 domestic cars and imported cars. Its business mainly involves the transportation of cold chain goods such as frozen meat, cold meat and quick-frozen food. Among them, domestic cars are used for short-distance cold chain distribution in the region, and imported cars are mainly used for highway cold chain trunk transportation with the distance between regions exceeding 1000 km. This business mainly transports frozen pork from major pork producing provinces in China to East China. This cold chain transportation customer has opened a new frozen pork transportation route from southwest to east China on the basis of its original business. Therefore, five Volvo trucks were purchased, and five refrigerated semi-trailers were ordered from a domestic refrigerated semi-trailer manufacturer, which were matched with Volvo trucks to transport frozen pork on this newly opened transportation line. In order to ensure that the customers of this road cold chain transportation can succeed in this newly opened transportation line. As a provider of commercial transportation solutions, Volvo Truck Company provided this customer with a complete set of comprehensive transportation solutions, which finally achieved very good results, met the customer's requirements for safety and timeliness, and helped the customer obtain satisfactory profits on this newly opened transportation line. Customers are very satisfied with the comprehensive transportation solution provided by Volvo Truck Company, and put forward the subsequent purchase intention.

Volvo truck integrated transportation solution;

The first step is to make a Volvo transportation plan.

Volvo Truck Company learned from the sales staff that the customer was going to open up a new cold chain transportation route, and sent logistics experts to get in touch with the customer. After face-to-face communication with customers, we decided to take Volvo tractor as an imaginary vehicle and make a transportation plan for the new production line.

Scheme formulation begins with the collection of operational data. Volvo logistics experts and customers first collect relevant data of goods, including: goods types, goods temperature control requirements, goods transportation starting point, goods monthly transportation volume, goods monthly transportation trips, etc. Then two alternative routes were booked, and special personnel were arranged to start collecting data of the two routes. The collected data include: transportation distance, estimated running time, road altitude, road climate, road slope, up and down frequency, road condition, road turning frequency, road congestion, number and interval of road gas stations, road and bridge fees, etc. Finally, collect other operation data, including loading time, unloading time, loading mode and unloading mode.

After data collection is completed, data analysis and transportation scheme formulation will be started. After summarizing, listing, grading, analyzing and discussing all the collected basic data, Volvo logistics experts and customers chose an overall optimized route. And decided not to choose the mode of throwing and hanging.

The second step is to configure Volvo tractors.

The third step is to configure a refrigerated semi-trailer.

The fourth step is to make the after-sales service plan of Volvo cars.

The fifth step is to establish the Volvo fleet management system.
