BMW has set up a special freight area.
To celebrate BMW Car Day (so motorcycles are lying in bed), the company made a brand-new concept car X7 pickup truck. It is a one-time modification by professional trainers of BMW Group with the help of the company's concept car manufacturing and vehicle technology department.

This special X7 is an xDrive40i with a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine that can generate 335 horsepower. However, since this conversion will not affect the front end, there is no reason why the truck cannot be based on the M50i model equipped with 523 HP 4.4L twin-turbo V8. BMW has set up a special freight area, using polished wood skin and two-stage air suspension with adjustable height.

The bed area is closed at 4.6 feet or opened at 6.5 feet, with the tailgate facing down. This area is large enough to accommodate the BMW F 850 GS motorcycle. The only disadvantage of having a bed is the loss of the third row, so the X7 pickup truck is strictly five seats.

"I am glad that the synergy between the vocational training, concept car manufacturing and model technology of BMW Group enables these young talents to prove their abilities through such an extraordinary project," concluded milagroscaia-Andree, a member of BMW Human Resources Committee. The construction process took 10 months, and was completed by 12 students, who turned a test vehicle that should have been scrapped into a full-function highway legal truck. Since BMW makes X7 in America, the company can sell this truck without paying "chicken tax". But there is bad news. BMW has no plans to put into production.
