Crowdsourcing refers to the practice that companies or organizations outsource tasks performed by employees to unspecified (usually large) public volunteers in a free and voluntary manner. (that is, research the development requirements of products through the network, starting from the real user experience). Crowdsourcing tasks are usually undertaken by individuals, but if it involves tasks that need to be completed by many people, it may also appear in the form of personal production relying on open source. In June 2006, Wired magazine reporter JeffHowe first put forward the concept of crowdsourcing. However, crowdsourcing proposed by Americans is one year later than Witkey who was born in China in 2005.
