Its psychology department was newly established in April 2000 when the College of Educational Sciences was founded. The department currently has 16 teachers and 3 psychological experimenters, including 7 professors, 8 associate professors and 1 lecturer. The department of psychology now has two master's degree authorization points: applied psychology undergraduate major and basic psychology, development and educational psychology. The major of basic psychology was approved by Shandong Normal University as a key construction discipline at the school level on 199 1.

The development direction of normal psychology is psychological history, theoretical psychology, psychological consultation and psychotherapy. , specifically involving aggression, bullying/bullying, development of social cognition, development of parents, families, children and adolescents, development of self-system, and cross-cultural research of children and adolescents' development. It is no different from the textbooks of applied psychology.
